Infinity CMX 240 Series Communications Controller
The Andover Controls Infinity CMX 240 is a network controller for the Infinet field bus. While Andover panels are providing stand alone control of all building services — heating, ventilating, air conditioning, lighting, access control, and smoke control — the Infinity CMX 240 Communications controller provides a cost-effective means for dial-up communications, information management, and underground storage tank monitoring for small to medium size facilities.

The Infinity CMX 240 acts as a high performance system coordinator for all distributed Infinet controllers, providing integrated global control, history logging, local and remote alarming, and a fully menu-driven user interface. Each CMX 240 contains a communication port to the Infinet, a high speed token-passing bus that provides transparent data transfer among all HVAC, lighting, and access controllers. In addition, there are two RS-232 communications ports for modems, dumb terminals, printers, and communications to third-party devices such as boilers, chillers, and fire panels.

The CMX 240 is available in two models with multiple node counts available . The CMX 240 supports the full family of Infinet controllers, and also the ACX access controllers and DCX 250 display controllers.
The CMX 240 comes standard with a metal baseplate and cover, suitable for panel mounting.

Every CMX 240 can be configured to meet the exact requirements of your application, using the powerful Plain English™ programming language. Programs are entered into a CMX 240 using a SX 8000 workstation, LSX 280 Lap-Top Service Tool, or dumb terminal with full screen editor. The program is then stored in, and executed by, the CMX 240.

SOFTWARECAPABILITIES
The dynamic memory of the CMX 240 can be allotted for any combination of Plain English control programs, scheduling, alarming and data logging. Our object-oriented language with intuitive keywords provides easy operation and programming. In addition, Plain English's pre-defined and customized functions and powerful math capabilities reduce programming time for repetitive applications.
AUTO-BAUDMODEM
The optional built-in UPS-supported modem allows the Infinity CMX 240 to receive or initiate exchanges of information across standard telephone lines with speeds up to 9600 baud.
COMMANDLINESUPPORT
For users requiring interface to third party monitoring software, the CMX 240 features optional command line support (the CMX 245 and CMX 246). This capability provides for direct and efficient communications through the RS-232C port or modem of the CMX.
UNDERGROUNDT ANKMONITORING TANK
Each CMX 240 also contains a dedicated TankNet Port, for connection to Andover’s family of intelligent, high-accuracy level sensing probes. These probes, in conjunction with the CMX 240, comply with EPA standards for underground storage tank leak detection.
