Strada’s simple and intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) uses contrasting icon colours and textures for extra clarity. Menu screens can be displayed in 16 languages.
The 5” (12.7cm) QVGA Wide Monitor is large for a portable GPS unit and its touch-panel screen is easy for everyone to use.

Voice Command
The CN-GP50N has a generously large 5" (12.7cm) wide display, yet it measures just 129 (W) x 87 (H) x 31 (D) mm, making it compact, slim and easy to carry. So you can take it with you to deter theft after parking. And it can run for about four hours* on its built-in battery, so you can use it at home and other places away from your vehicle.
Set your destination while keeping both hands on the wheel. The system can learn to recognize your vocal characteristics for enhanced accuracy, regardless of language or dialect.

Clear Guidance
GPS Assist
This provides positioning compensation in case of poor GPS reception. An electronic compass helps make sure the system tells you the correct way to head out from a multi-level parking garage, for example. The Smart Assist function smoothly adjusts the position based on map data when the GPS signal is interrupted, as when driving in a tunnel.
Signpost Information
Since you can’t always count on signposts to show your destination, GP50 shows which sign to follow, a helpful feature in unfamiliar territory.

An icon and warning tone will alert you if your car exceeds the known speed limit, based on GPS data calculations.
Famous landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate and Arc de Triomphe appear as three-dimensional icons. The database holds approximately 220 of these icons for Austria, France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.
Optional Real-Time Traffic Information With the separately-sold TMC traffic receiver (CY-TM200N) installed, the map will indicate traffic accidents and road works as icons with text notes. Automatic or manual detour calculation helps you avoid unexpected traffic queues and congestion.

Panasonic provides the latest map data for 37 countries in Europe. This data is rich in information such as POI and postal codes to support versatile search capabilities for a wide range of situations.

Digital Networking Address Search
Quickly find the approximate location of your destination based on place name, institution name, street name, etc. If the postal code is known, it can narrow down the location even faster. UK and the Netherlands enhanced postal codes are supported.

For rapid search and display, you can save favourite destinations and waypoints. You can edit their names and change their icons as well as set voice commands and other preferences.
Junction Information
You see the distance to the next junction and an arrow showing which way to turn. The distance figure is replaced by a spot diagram as you near the junction. When two manoeuvres are to be executed in rapid succession, the second is shown by a small arrow.
Lane Assistant
As you approach a junction where a turn is required, the display shows the correct lane in orange and alerts you with voice guidance. When driving a route for the first time, this helps to avoid last-minute lane changes.
You can choose from among 21 languages for voice guidance. When travelling across borders, the ability to receive guidance on routes and turns in one’s native language helps support safe driving and avoids the distraction of having to refer to maps.
Easy Map Updates
Navigation system performance depends greatly upon the quality of map data. With Strada, updating is made easy by transferring the new map data via SD Memory Card or (if your PC does not support SD) direct USB cable connection.
Airports, hotels, restaurants … 26 categories of POI cover nearly all situations. Some POIs have subcategories to help narrow down your search. The “Nearby” menu locates those within a 25km radius of your current position and lists them in 5km increments, a real convenience when you need to find a petrol station or restaurant in a dash.

Plan your route in the comfort of your home or hotel. Without receiving GPS signals, you can preview distances and travel times – even simulate the drive on-screen.
Bluetooth® Hands-Free Calling For convenience and comfort, this lets you carry on a telephone conversation while leaving your phone in a bag or pocket. To place a call, you can use the large on-screen keypad or incoming and outgoing call history display.
Phone Book Transfer
Transfer phonebook data from your mobile phone* to enable display of up to 500 numbers in alphabetical order.
* The phone must support the OPP standard.
JPG/BMP Viewer
Show your digital photos on the large 5” (12.7cm) diagonal display. Slide shows can be viewed with a choice of five time settings. Supports jpg and bmp image data on SD media.
POI Direct Dial
POI telephone numbers listed in the database can be called directly, a real convenience for making reservations at restaurants, for example.
