CITY RECYCLING DAY 2017
Please join the City of Fishers Stormwater Utility, Technology Recyclers, Shares, Inc., and NuGenesis, Inc. and other potential partners/volunteers on Saturday, September 30th from 8 AM to 1 PM at the Billericay Park Parking Lots at the northeast corner of 126th Street and Promise Road for another great Recycling Day event. During our Spring of 2017 event, 1,250 residents recycled 75 tons of material in total including metals, mowers, bikes, grills, and other miscellaneous items, 6,200 lbs of cardboard, 7,400 lbs of paper, 982 CRTs and TVs, 2,750 gallons of paint, 325 gallons of used oil, 235 gallons of antifreeze, 185 gallons of flammable liquids, 653 lbs of batteries, and 2,800 lbs of fertilizer and pesticide. We look forward to an even bigger event this fall!
The following paper related items will be accepted for recycling by Shares, Inc.: confidential paper, bills, mail, office paper, printer paper, corrugated paper, cardboard, and newspapers. PAPER IS NOT SHREDDED ON SITE.
The following items will be accepted for recycling by Technology Recyclers: Appliances - anything that plugs in an outlet, Computers, Gaming systems, Printers - cartridges and toners, Cell phones, all Batteries, VCR’s, stereos, keyboards, mice-all peripherals, power tools, speakers, wiring, monitors, televisions, metals, lawn mowers, workout equipment.

The following household hazardous waste (HHW) items will be accepted for recycling by NuGenesis, Inc.: All Paint Types (latex, lead, aluminum, and oil based), flammable liquids, liquid acids, liquid bases, toxic solids, motor oil, household batteries, propane tanks (gas grill size only), fire extinguishers, pesticides/herbicides, aerosols, corrosive liquids, non-conforming waste (unknowns), antifreeze, pool chemicals, fluorescent lamp and PCB ballasts, medical sharps. There are limits for flammable liquids and Pesticides/Herbicides. Up to one hundred (100) pounds or its’ liquid equivalent is free, but there will be a charge of $1.00 for each additional pound or its’ liquid equivalent.

PLEASE NOTE: City Recycling Day is available to City of Fishers residents only - no business materials will be accepted at this event. The event ends promptly at 1 PM, please come early. Consumer waste and recyclables, foam containers, foam peanuts, glass, grease, wood and mattresses are no longer accepted at the City Recycling Day event.
