It caries out telephone connections between subscribers in local mode (1unique central office) or between remote subscribers via a ring network (several central offices). It includes one monitor ref. ETD500000, one software program ETD500100, one technical file ETD500011, one manual of Practicals ETD500041 and one set of accessories (Power Supply block, patching cords and 4 telephones) ETD501000. TOPICS SELF USE (WITH PC) It enables the analysis of modern central telephone offices, and observation of time division switching digital and analog signals : - Subscribers equipment, (SLIC/CODEC) with synchronization signals (A/µ encoding law), - Time intervals, input PCM, output PCM, - Connection network (Conversation Time Memory, linked registers and control memory), - Time base with all Time Intervals PCM 32 synchronization signals, - Carrying out of Practicals in industrial Computer Science : control of a Central Office. NETWORK (from 2 to 8 central offices + PC, linked together), - Study of remote ring communication, - Study of HDB3 and PCM encoding, transmission to ETSI/UIT-T standard, - Re synchronization of remote time frames, - Control of semaphore channel, signalling protocol (industrial Computer Science). AREAS OF APPLICATIONS - Technical colleges, - Telecommunication schools, - Universities, etc. ETD500000 ETD500000: :TIME TIMEDIVISION DIVISIONSWITCHING SWITCHINGMONITOR MONITOR This monitor includes one Very Large Scale Integration electronic board ,built in a strong PVC case and protected by a silk-screened polycarbonate front panel. Test points enable the student to display all fundamental signals of the system. One 68332 CPU microcontroller board controls the process unit as well as the communication with the PC. One C, C++ compiler is provided, it enables the achievement of Practicals in industrial Computer Science, from simple function programming to the carrying out of new services. Operation in manual mode, it enables: • Allocation of TCM memory address to the outgoing PCM, • Allocation of PCM Time Interval to inter switching unit link, • Allocation of PCM Time Interval to COFIDEC (direct analog input), • Allocation of PCM Time Interval to subscriber ’s SLIC, Operation in automatic mode, it enables : • Allocation to a subscriber ’s handset number, of « MC » prefix to switching unit, • Allocation of a tax level to a subscriber (fixed price, depending on duration, free N°, remote), • Checking of tax counter, • Modification of subscriber ’s line characteristics, • Reservation of PCM Time Interval (manual blocking), • Subscriber ’s cancellation, • Transfer in a subscriber’s account, of a set number to another set (same central office). Industrial Computer Science : The program is structured as downloadable program modules. It is possible to rewrite every module as a training work, to carry out Practicals on new services (automatic recall, double call management, calling party number readout..). NETWORK NETWORKSTRUCTURE STRUCTURE Time division switching units ETD 500 000 are equipped with network interfaces to the ETSI/ITU- T standard (notably G703, I431 & G732) , thus, it is possible to connect up to 99 time division switching units on a ring structure.
