Designed for use in communicating easily with the elderly, bedridden and infirm. Ideal for use where health professionals need to communicate with patients. Useful for first contact at hearing aid centres. Pack of 50 sachets Tub of 40 wipes Drum of 100 wipes Best operating range is about arm’s length. Using the Communicator Pull the arms apart to allow you to fit the clear mushroom tips into your ears. Make sure tips are well seated in ears to avoid feedback. Helpful hint: always face the person you are talking to, to help with lip reading. Speak up but don’t shout and speak with normal pace and intonation. Communicator Part no: .ACOM1 Stetoclip MRONTTIS MRONTW40 MRONTW100 General care It is worth washing the eartips occasionally as they can become greasy or blocked with wax. Remove the eartips from the steto arms with a firm pull. Wash in soapy water, rinse well and dry thoroughly before pushing firmly back into position. Connevans offer two small tools specifically designed to help clean holes and tubes that have become blocked in use. Push-on replacement ends can be ordered from Connevans (Part no: 22879MUEND). Amplifier pod can be removed during cleaning Amplifier pod has pull-off/ push-on attachment to steto clip. Clear end removed for washing. Wax tool (Part no. MWAXTOOL) Vent Cleaner (Part no. MVENTCLEAN Connevans Catalogue, section 6 – Hearing Aid First Aid for all stetoclip spares and cleaning products Volume control On/off and tone switch Use the switch to turn the communicator on/off and also to select the tone: Microphone Red dot = high frequency Green dot = normal wide range White dot = OFF Turn volume control wheel until most comfortable level of sound is heard. Do not turn up too high or sound will be distorted. It is not necessary to turn volume level down when turning off, leave in correct position for next time. Fit battery into slide out tray, with the ‘+’ facing front. Use silver oxide 675 size batteries (P009HA). Although the communicator can use 675 Zinc Air hearing aid batteries, the Zinc Air batteries do self discharge relatively quickly so Connevans advise using silver oxide 675 size batteries ( P009HA) which do not self discharge.
