Oral Health Initiative Project Johnson Dental Clinic 1112 NW Circle Blvd. Corvallis, OR 97330 (541) 257-2006 Dental Health Services for Children and Pregnant Women Community and School-Based Services The Community Health Centers of Benton and Linn Counties are able to provide school-based preventive services with funding from Kaiser Permanente Northwest, The Ford Family Foundation, and the Oregon Community Foundation. Volunteer dental team members and Benton County staff provide dental screenings to all Corvallis and Alsea public schools and Holley School in Sweet Home. The Johnson Dental Clinic The Benton Community Health Centers have partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis to provide dental treatment to those children and pregnant women in need. The Johnson Dental Clinic provides high quality, confidential dental care, whether or not you have dental insurance. Our dental team provides preventive care for infants through 2 years. Children 3 through 18 years and pregnant women receive preventive and restorative care at the Johnson Dental Clinic. Services include: • • • • • • • • • Dental Exams X-rays Fillings Dental Screenings Dental Cleanings Sealants Fluoride Treatments Oral Health Education Simple Extractions, if necessary Who is Eligible? Your child can use the dental clinic even if he/she does not have dental insurance. We accept clients who are uninsured or on the Oregon Health Plan (OHP). Wind the floss around the middle fingers and gently glide the floss in between the teeth. Keeping Your Mouth Healthy • Brush your teeth with a soft toothbrush and toothpaste with fluoride, twice a day; after breakfast and before bed. • Floss once a day before bedtime. • Eat healthy foods, like fruits, milk, eggs, vegetables, meat, fish, chicken, beans, nuts, and yogurt. • Eat sweets or drink sugary drinks at mealtimes only. • See the dentist by age 1 year and then every 6 months.
