GARMENTS SUITABLE FOR YOUR TUMBLE DRYER Please make sure that the clothes you wish to dry are suitable for tumble-drying. If any of the symbols here are evident on the garment care label, then they are designed for tumble-drying and you can safely use your new Tumble Dryer. One dot means ECONOMY heat is appropriate Two dots mean REGULAR heat is appropriate No dots mean no heat is specified, but we urge you to take care on gentle garments. If in doubt, use ECONOMY heat to avoid shrinkage.
Fit the screw clip over one end of the ventilation hose, then offer that end to the exhaust port, and secure by tightening the screw clip with a screwdriver. TAKE CARE NOT TO OVERTIGHTEN
PREPARING YOUR NEW TUMBLE DRYER Make sure all packaging and protection is removed, ensure the filter and exhaust port and ventilation hose at the rear are free from lint or fluff. Straighten the ventilation hose, ensure any protective sleeve from the hose is removed. Stretch it to its full length and set it to exhaust the hot air carefully, avoiding any hazards.
ENSURE THE TUMBLE DRYER IS ON A STABLE, LEVEL SURFACE WITH 15cms CLEARANCE AROUND THE SIDES, TOP AND REAR. ENSURE THERE ARE NO TRAILING CORDS OR HOSES THAT COULD BE A HAZARD TO OTHERS.
LOADING YOUR NEW TUMBLE DRYER Make sure the Tumble Dryer is unplugged and the power is OFF. Make sure all excess water is spun or wrung from the clothes. Open the Tumble Dryer, check for lint or fluff from the previous use – if you see some, then remove before adding your new clothes for drying. Ensure you don’t exceed 1 kg wet weight. Help! I THINK MY TUMBLE DRYER HAS GONE WRONG If you think your Tumble Dryer has gone wrong, look here for some hints and tips. If your query is still not answered, please call us or e-mail.
I’VE SWITCHED IT ON BUT NOTHING IS HAPPENING! You must remember to set the PROGRAM (Economy or REGULAR) but most importantly you must remember to set the time. If the timer is not set, the Tumble Dryer will not run. Check also the door is shut properly, as there is a safety interlock that will prevent use if the door is open. Check for any clothes that may be preventing the door from closing properly.
IT SEEMS HOT IN USE, IS THAT NORMAL? Of course your new Tumble Dryer will get hot in use, but the level of heat on the outside should not be excessive. Check for any obstructions of the exhaust port and/or ventilation hose. Check that you have left at least 15cms clearance around the sides and top and rear. Check that the ventilation hose has not become punctured and so hot air is exhausting unexpectedly from the wall of the hose. IF THE HOSE REQUIRES REPLACING, CHECK OUR WEBSITE OR USE THE ORDER FORM THAT ACCOMPANIES THIS BOOKLET.
THE WINDOW DOESN’T SEEM AS CLEAR AS WHEN THE TUMBLE DRYER WAS NEW In use, you may experience condensation, this is entirely normally. Additionally, over time the material may slightly craze or lose it’s transparence; this is an inevitability and is neither a cause for concern or a cause for return.
