You are out if: 1. you step on or over a sideline or centerline; 2. a thrown live ball hits your body 3. you throw a live ball and it is caught by an opponent. A thrown live ball can only hit out 1 player. Thrown balls that hit the ground, the wall, other balls, or other objects before hitting the opponent are considered dead balls. You may block a thrown ball with a held ball. However, if you drop the blocking ball during the act of blocking, or if you fail to make a clean block (as in the thrown ball still ends up hitting or grazing your body afterwards), you are out. If you are out, line up on the side in the order you got out (think of it as being in an “resurrection” line). If your teammate catches a ball, the player at the start of your team’s “resurrection” line comes back into play after touching the wall (the teammate must be in the line at the time of the catch to be eligible to be brought back in). You can only hold a ball for 10 seconds, afterwards, it will be considered dead. Dead balls need to be rolled over immediately to the other team. PRC staff will call the ball “dead.” If the game comes down to 1 player per side, they have 10 seconds to hit each other out; if not, "Showdown" comes into effect. The game is paused, each player gets two balls, two balls are lined up at the ends of the centerline, and the centerline is dissolved. The first player to get the other player out wins. Single Elimination Bracket BAG TOURNAMENT RULES: • • • • • Men and Women will compete separately. Boards are placed 25 feet apart from the front of the board to front of the board. Each team gets 4 bean bags to throw; team members stand on opposite ends and may throw from either side of the box. Scoring: Points are scored when a player has a bag on the board or in the hole. Only one team can score per round. · Points cancel each other. · A bag on the board is equal to 1 point, a bag in the hole is equal to 3 points. · An example of cancellation is as follows · Team one has 2 bags in the hole and 1 bag on the board equaling 7 points (3 + 3 +1 = 7). · Team two has 1 bag in the hole and 1 bag on the board equaling 4 points (3 + 1 = 4). · The lowest score is subtracted from the highest score to get the points earned for team one · (7 – 4 = 3). · Team one earns 3 points in this round and gets to throw first in the next round. · The game is continued until one team scores 21 points. A team can win by a wash which is 11-0. · A bag that is tossed in play and knocks another bag off or in the hole is legal. · A bag that bounces from the ground onto the board is not a legal play. This bag must be removed from the board and play is continued. Single Elimination Bracket PIE EATING CONTEST • • • • • • NO HANDS MAY BE USED. Each throw is counted to determine a score. The winner is the player with the lowest score. Tee throws must be completed within the designated tee areas. After teeing off, the player whose disc is farthest from the hole (basket) always throws first. The player with the least amount of throws on the previous hole is the first to tee-off on the next hole. Throws after the tee shot must be made with one foot on the spot where the last throw came to rest. The other foot shall not be any closer to the hole. A run-up and normal follow through, after release, is allowed more than 10 meters (33 feet) from the hole. Inside 10 meters, “Falling” or “jumping putts” are not allowed. A disc that comes to rest inside the disc golf basket or chains constitutes successful completion of that hole. A disc that comes to rest on top or outside of the basket does NOT count as a completion of the hole. A throw that lands out of bounds must be played from the point where the disc was last inbounds, with a one throw penalty. Water, roads, parking lots, and over fences are normal disc golf out of bounds hazards. Score cards must be turned in to the PRC staff on site. PRC staff will announce the winner based off of the lowest score. In the case of a tie, it will be a scorecard playoff starting with the #1 handicap hole, and then #2 handicap hole until tie is broken. The closest shoe to the stake get 1 point. If you have two shoes closer to than any of your opponent’s you will get two points. Ringers are worth 3 points each and must completely encircle the stake so the ends can be touched with a straight-edge without touching the stake. CUP PONG • • • • • • • The Setup: Arrange ten cups in a pyramid-like formation PRC staff will fill each cup with the desired amount of water. This game will be played under the black lights. General Gameplay: Pong is generally played by teams of two in which each team takes turn throwing a ping pong ball at the other team’s cups. Once a ball lands in a cup, the cup is taken away and placed on the side of the table. The water should not be drunk. If both teammates hit cups, the balls are rolled back and they get to shoot again. The team that successfully hits all of the opponent’s cups wins the game. Deciding who goes first: If it is the first game of the night, the first shot is decided by “Eyes.” This is when a player from each team shoots the ball while maintaining eye contact with their opponent throughout their shot. If both players miss or both players make it, their partners now shoot. This goes on until one person makes it and their opponent does not. The hit cup is not removed; the ball is taken out and rolled back to the team that sank the shot If it is not the first game, the winner of the previous game shoots first. Elbow / Wrists Rule: When shooting, players must keep their elbows behind the edge of the table. Breaking this rule results in the shot not counting, and loss of turn. Re-Racking: Twice per game, each team can request the cups to be rearranged at the start of their turn. This is known as re-racking, racking, or reforming. Last cup may always be pulled back and centered Bouncing: If a ball hits the table and then goes into a cup (even by accident), the cup that the ball goes into is removed, as well as another cup of the defending player’s choice. If there are only 2 cups remaining, the bounce only counts as one cup. Fingering / Blowing do not count. • • • Rebuttal/ Redemption: After the last cup is hit each player from the losing team has a chance to hit the remaining cups. Each player shoots until they miss, the order in which this is done does not matter. If there are racks left over they may be used now. Once both players miss and there are remaining cups, the game is over. If the players manage to hit all remaining cups the game goes into a 3 cup overtime. Overtime: Three cups are placed back into a triangle shape and the would-have-been winners shoot first. There are no racks permitted on overtime, however the last cup may be pulled back / centered. Single Elimination Bracket PING PONG • • • • • • The Service Service shall start with the ball resting freely on the open palm of the server's stationary free hand. The server shall then project the ball near vertically upwards, without imparting spin, so that it rises at least 16cm after leaving the palm of the free hand and then falls without touching anything before being struck. As the ball is falling the server shall strike it so that it touches first his or her court and then, after passing over or around the net assembly, touches directly the receiver's court; in doubles, the ball shall touch successively the right half court of server and receiver. As soon as the ball has been projected, the server’s free arm and hand shall be removed from the space between the ball and the net. The ball cannot be returned until its hit the receiving players side of the table Game play is to 11, switch serves every two and game must be won by two points. The Order of Play In doubles, the server shall first make a service, the receiver shall then make a return, the partner of the server shall then make a return, the partner of the receiver shall then make a return and thereafter each player in turn in that sequence shall make a return. A Point Unless the rally is a let, a player shall score a point - if an opponent fails to make a correct service; - if an opponent fails to make a correct return; - if, after he or she has made a service or a return, the ball touches anything other than the net assembly before being struck by an opponent; - if the ball passes over his or her court or beyond his or her end line without touching his or her court, after being struck by an opponent; - if an opponent obstructs the ball; - if an opponent deliberately strikes the ball twice in succession; - if an opponent, or anything an opponent wears or carries, moves the playing surface; - if an opponent, or anything an opponent wears or carries, touches the net assembly; - if an opponent's free hand touches the playing surface; - if a doubles opponent strikes the ball out of the sequence established by the first server and first receiver; - his or her opponent touches the table with either hand before striking the ball; - his or her opponent's footrest or foot touches the floor during play.
