Installation and Operation Guide
ēno one Fixed Wall Arm
Overview Congratulations on your purchase of the PolyVision® ēno™ one solution. This manual describes how to install the PolyVision ēno one fixed wall arm mounting solution for the PolyVision PJ905 projector.
The fixed wall arm is designed to accommodate the Polyvision PJ-905 projector only. ** DO NOT EXCEED A 15LB (7 kg) LOAD ON THE BOOM ARM TO AVOID DAMAGE **
Important considerations • Measure the clearance height between the top of the ēno interactive whiteboard and the ceiling. The minimum amount of clearance needed for installation is 24 inches (61cm). • The total system without projector weighs roughly 21 pounds (9 kg). • Two people are recommended for portions of this installation. • The maximum allowable projector weight is 15 pounds (7 kg). • No unauthorized modifications or additions are to be made to the system. • Do not hang from or climb on the boom arm or wall bracket. • Tighten all screws securely.
CAUTION FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN PROPERTY DAMAGE OR PERSONAL INJURY. Read the entire Assembly Direction before beginning installation or assembly. Building construction varies greatly and is outside PolyVision’s control. The Building’s Engineer of record is responsible for the design of studs, backing, reinforcement, supporting members etc. which the units are attached to and must verify the adequacy of the mounting hardware. These instructions and any hardware provided by PolyVision are for convenience only and are not an indication of what may be required by your local Code. The building owner or designated agent is responsible for verifying that the installation is in compliance with all local Codes and regulations.

Install the fixed wall arm Step 0: Install the whiteboard • Install the ēno classic interactive whiteboard or ēno click interactive whiteboard using instructions included with those products. • Ensure that an electrical outlet is available for the projector. • ēno classic interactive whiteboard: Measure and ensure that there is at least 24 inches (61cm) of clearance between the ēno interactive whiteboard and the ceiling. • ēno click interactive whiteboard: Ensure that there is at least 24 inches (61cm) of clearance between the existing chalk or dry erase board and the ceiling.
Step 1: Position the fixed wall arm To determine the correct position for the fixed wall arm: 1. Using a tape measure, locate and mark the center of the interactive whiteboard. 2. If installing on a sheetrock wall, use a stud finder to locate and mark the position of the wall stud nearest the center mark.

Step 2: Locate and mark fastener locations on the wall ēno classic interactive whiteboards Note: Use the wall template provided to assure proper location of the wall mount. Failure to do so will result in difficulty focusing and aligning the projected image. To locate and mark fastener locations on the wall: 1. Position the bottom of the wall template so it is resting on the horizontal edge of the ēno classic whiteboard trim.
wall template for use with ēno classic whiteboard only
2. Align the template as close to the center of the ēno interactive whiteboard as possible and, in addition: On a wood or metal stud wall, ensure that the center of a stud is aligned with at least one column of bolt holes on the template. Adjust the template left or right to capture a stud. On a wall with mortared bricks, ensure that the top and bottom row of bolt holes do not align with a line of mortar. 3. Tape the wall template provided to the wall. 4. Mark bolt hole locations.

ēno click interactive whiteboards Note: To assure proper installation of the wall bracket, use the wall bracket as a template to measure the location of bolt and cable exit holes. Failure to do so will result in difficulty focusing and aligning the projected image. To locate and mark fastener locations on the wall: 1. Carefully measure and position the bottom of the wall bracket assembly so it is 6 inches (15 cm) above the ēno click interactive whiteboard.
2. Align the wall bracket assembly as close to the center of the ēno click interactive whiteboard as possible. In addition: On a wood or metal stud wall, ensure that the center of a stud is aligned with at least one column of bolt holes on the wall bracket assembly. Adjust the wall bracket assembly left or right to capture a stud. On hollow concrete or bricks wall, ensure that the top and bottom row of bolt holes on the wall bracket assembly do not sit on top of mortar joints. 3. Mark bolt hole locations.
In-wall cable routing For sheetrock walls, cable routing can be either: • against the wall • within the wall Note: The wall template and wall bracket provide two alternative cable exit hole locations to ensure that one of the cable exit hole locations does not align with a stud. To route cables with-in the wall: 1. Use the wall template (for ēno classic) or wall bracket (for ēno click) to mark the position of the cable exit hole that does not align with a wall stud. 2. Drill a hole in the sheetrock at that location.
