This is to make it easier for users coming from consoles where recording in Live doesn’t record master content. • Master Editor: A confirmation message has been added to Update and Record operations. • Record selected channels: For consistency, it is now possible to use RECORD & CH as well as CH & RECORD to record only the selected channels. • RECORD & HOME ATTRIBUTES: Confirmation dialog with warning message has been added to clarify what recording home attributes does. • UPDATE & A: Update command added for symmetry with RECORD & A. • Record: When used without a number, it will now select the first free preset number after the last one recorded. Previously, the first free preset number in the preset list was suggested. • File Write Protection: Changed logic for the write protection warning to allow use of network based disks. With some network disks it wasn’t possible to overwrite existing files because of owner/user mismatch. • Extended Template Library: Updated to V3.3.0.9 with some bug fixes and cleanups. Support for New Hardware • Net3 Remote Video Interface (RVI). This unit is a purpose-built Client that supports up to two DVI/VGA monitors. The RVI is a rack-mountable 2U device with a custom 20-key keypad on its face panel for access to basic commands. The RVI is also compatible with the Congo jr Master Playback Wing. Bug fixes SCR #1106: Sometimes the server could crash when a client was shut down. SCR #1105: Action Macros: The PAGE command does not load master pages correctly. SCR #1100: Playback View: Loading presets directly to A or B didn’t display correctly on the crossfade bar if no sequence (or an empty sequence) was loaded in the main playback. SCR #1099: Master Editor: Recording the content of a master to a new preset with # RECORD didn’t update the content of the master field. 31.August.2007 Page 3 of 5 SCR #1097: UPDATE & @LEVEL: In some cases, random channels were included in the update tracking process which cased strange results. SCR #1095: Action Macros: MIDI output caused a USB connection problem. SCR #1086: TRACK & SEQ: Allowed changes to levels but didn’t perform the changes in the actual presets. SCR #1085: Master Editor: Group recording and updating now behave in the same way as record/update in the Group List. SCR #1083: Fader Matching: When using multiple consoles on server/clients, the faders (including GM) have to be matched between the consoles to be able to control the values. Before, the last moved fader value from any console took immediate action. SCR #1082: Channel Views: In some rare situations there was a crash after changing screen layouts with multiple Live views on different screens. SCR #1081: Fetch Palette: Fetching for a Palette type caused a crash if there was no sequence loaded in the main playback. SCR #1077: DMX Output Setup: It wasn’t possible to assign outputs above 2561 to the physical DMX ports. They came out starting at output 1. SCR #1074: Grandmaster: In some situations, the level of the Grandmaster in the application was set to 0% instead of 100% at startup. KNOWN ISSUES SCR #1110: Fetching parameters with U1-U3 causes crash. Workaround: Use Focus/Color/Beam keys. SCR #1109: Outputs are not initialized properly when “Skip Startup Screen” is enabled Workaround: Exit and restart application. SCR #1108: Opening and closing the Universe Map will cause sACN levels to jump to zero Workaround: Move Grand Master to restore levels. Levels that were parked to a level will need to be reparked. NOTE: It is not recommended that the Universe Map be opened and closed during a show in systems using the sACN protocol. Other network protocols are not affected. SCR #1104: SETUP & Independend fader knob does not open Independent Editor on clients. Workaround: Use the Browser to access editor for these Independents. SCR #1103: 31.August.2007 Extremely large channel layouts can affect the performance of large multi-user systems. Page 4 of 5 Workaround: Use of multiple smaller autoselectable layouts is recommended. SCR #1102: Devices using the Fade-With-Intensity feature, such as RGB LED fixtures, will respond correctly to the Grand Master and Intensity wheel, but will not be affected by the Blackout switch. SCR# 1101: Using the REFRESH & CH syntax with selected channels will clear the changed flags from all channels, not just the selected channels. SCR #1092: RVI may display additional LEDs with change in network status SCR #1091: Capture always captures intensity levels from A field, not levels generated by master playbacks. Workaround: Set channel manually to same level as is generated by the master before using CAPTURE & @ LEVEL or CAPTURE & CH. SCR #1087: LEDs on master keys on clients do not update when new content is recorded on server. Workaround: Page masters up and down on the client to refresh the LED states. SCR #1084: Congo jr as a client will not offer built-in alpha-numeric keyboard. Workaround: Use an external keyboard with the Congo jr when it is used as a client. SCR #1079: Occasionally, crossfades do not complete when using “crossfade both ways” SCR #1076: Congo jr Dynamic Effects encoders do not display labels for Offset and Delay Relationship, however turning the encoder with the wheel key engaged applies these settings. Workaround: Only use the Live Dynamics tab for editing Offset and Delay Relationships on Congo jr. 31.August.2007 Page 5 of 5
