For cleaning and maintenance, or for changing the clipper blades, turn off the machine and remove from the power source. Always unplug before cleaning. Never submerge the device in water. Remove all attachments before each use, and use the cleaning brush to remove hairs from the cutting blade and surrounding area. Clean the housing of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Never use alcohol or abrasive cleaners! The cutting head (E) should be regularly oiled (every 3-4 minutes during use), in order to keep the blades sharp and accurate, and to maintain the long life of the product. Please note: oil sprays are not suitable for this! If the cutting comb and blades become dull or blunt after long term use, despite good cleaning and oiling, these should be replaced (F). In order to do so, unplug the machine from the power source, then remove both screws on the plate of the cutting comb, and remove the cutting comb and blade. When reassembling, place the cutting blade with the guiding slit on the v-shaped plastic guide, and press it down, so that the peg slots into the cut-out in the blade. Next, replace the cutting comb plate and reinsert the screws. Before tightening, align the cutting comb plate so that there is a distance of 0.5 mm between the front edge of the cutting comb and the razor (Fig. G) when the minimum cut length is set. Also pay attention to this distance when removing and repositioning the blade for cleaning.
