Connecting to a computer via Bluetooth® (Mac) To connect the Digital Paper (DPT-RP1) to your computer via Bluetooth, follow the steps below to pair the Digital Paper and computer, and then connect via Bluetooth.. Pairing is required for the first time for Bluetooth connection. For pairing, follow “Pairing the computer and the Digital Paper” below. If the Bluetooth pairing is completed between the Digital Paper and the computer, click here. Pairing the computer and the Digital Paper The following steps for pairing are required when using the Bluetooth connection for the first time. * For step 1 through 3, operate on the Digital Paper. 1 Press the home button on the Digital Paper to display the home menu. 2 Tap [Settings] > [Bluetooth] box to add a check mark. 3 Tap [Settings] > [Bluetooth Settings] > [Bluetooth Pairing]. [Bluetooth Pairing..] is displayed when Digital Paper is ready for pairing. [DPT-RP1_XXXXXXX] is displayed as the Bluetooth device name. 1 * For step 4 through 5, use the computer. 4 From Dock, click [System Preference] > [Bluetooth]. 5 Select the Digital Paper device name, [DPT-RP1_XXXXXXX], in [Devices], and then click [Pair]. From [DPT-RP1_XXXXXXX], [Pairing] is changed to [Connected], and then [Not Connected] is displayed. Hint If [Show Bluetooth in menu bar] is added with a check in the dialog of step 5 above, it is possible to connect or disconnect the Digital Paper from the menu bar the next time. 2 Connecting the computer via Bluetooth The following steps are always required to connect the Digital Paper to the computer via Bluetooth. When operating from “Pairing the computer and the Digital Paper” continuously, proceed to step 4. * For step 1, use the Digital Paper. 1 Press the home button on the Digital Paper, and then check that the [Bluetooth] box is added with a check mark in the [Settings] menu. * For step 2 through 3, use the computer. 2 From Dock, click [System Preference] > [Bluetooth]. 3 Double-click the Digital Paper device name, [DPT-RP1_XXXXXXX], in [Devices]. Hint If [Show Bluetooth in menu bar] is added with a check in the dialog during the pairing procedure, it is possible to connect the Digital Paper via Bluetooth by clicking the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar and selecting [DPT-RP1_XXXXXXX] > [Connect to Network]. 3 4 When the connection is complete, launch the Digital Paper App on the computer, and then check that the [Connected] is displayed on the upperleft of the screen. Notes on starting up the computer from sleep mode When the computer enters sleep mode, the Digital Paper is disconnected. After starting up the computer from sleep mode, you need to repeat the steps from “Connecting the computer via Bluetooth” again.
