Connecting Your Blu-ray Player To A TV Getting Started You will need: • 1 High Speed HDMI Cable • Access to the back of your HDTV • Access to the back of your Blu-ray player • Verify both your HDTV and Blu-ray player are powered off To connect your Blu-ray player to your HDTV, follow the steps below. 1. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on the back of the Blu-ray player. This HDMI port is labeled as HDMI OUT. 2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN port on the back of the HDTV. 3. Power on your Blu-ray first, then power on your TV. Note: If you're using a Samsung HDTV, the HDTV will power on automatically when the Blu-ray player is powered on and tune to the HDMI input where the player is connected. This is part of the Anynet+ function which is enabled by default. 4. Press the 'Source' or 'Input' button on your TV remote to change the TV input to the corresponding HDMI input where the player is connected. For example, if you connected your player to the HDMI 2 port on your TV, press the 'Source' or 'Input' button on your TV remote until HDMI 2 displays. 5. The Home Menu of the Blu-ray player then displays. If this is your first time setting up your player the On-Screen Language Selection menu displays. Samsung Electronics America Like this guide? Use your favorite search engine to search for 'component to HDMI converter' or 'RCA to HDMI converter', depending on the type of video outputs your TV supports. Please understand the video quality won't be as clear as and HDMI to HDMI connection, and may appear somewhat grainy because of the low resolution. Samsung Electronics America Like this guide?
