Connecting your DStv Explora to the internet Using an Ethernet cable We recommend using the Ethernet cable to connect your DStv Explora to the existing internet in your home if your router is in the same room as your DStv Explora, or if you can easily run a cable between the DStv Explora and your router. Router (Back) Step 1 DStv Explora (Back) DIGITAL AUDIO OUT ETHERNET COAXIAL Insert a standard Ethernet cable directly into the green Ethernet port on the back of your DStv Explora and then insert the other end into an available Ethernet port on your router. Step 2 Confirm that the DStv Explora is connected to the internet using the Connectivity Checker on your DStv Explora. Return BACK Select OK Return BACK Step 3 The default setting for all Connected Services on your DStv Explora is set to “Off”. You can manually select which of the services you want enabled. Select “User Preferences”.
