Ink and Labels Consumables for SLS Point of Care Station (PCS) Unlike standard paper and pre-printed labels, the on-demand, custom formats of the SLS system, including its ink and labels, are FDA-approved for medical use. The unique synthetic base, adhesive, coating and ink formulation are designed to meet the performance and environmental conditions of your hospital's operating rooms and patient care areas. SLS is an FDA-approved class 2 medical device whose safety and efficacy is assured by following the manufacturer’s installation and operation instructions and the use of approved supplies.
KEY BENEFITS Advantages of Codonics Consumables SLS PCS small labels are used in the OR during surgical procedures and by nursing for administering on the floors. The 48mm x 17mm small labels are ideal for smaller syringes commonly used in adult and pediatric dosing and do not interfere with infused or bolus delivery by the anesthesiologist.

Used anywhere medications are prepared including pharmacy for parenteral vials and IV bags, on the floors for patient vials and medications and in the OR, the SLS PCS standard label is 60mm x 22mm and has a wide variety of applications.
• Labels are formulated for performance, design and color which meet the intent of the ASTM 4774 and ISO 26825 standards as referenced by anesthesia societies globally • Superior adhesive properties ensure labels are securely attached during the life of the prepared medications even when exposed to humidity, refrigeration, isopropyl alcohol and/or water • Specially formulated label coating and ink maintain legibility and durability when exposed to water and alcohol, commonly present in patient care areas
Ideally suited for the PICU, ICU and patient floor medication labeling where syringe pumps and smart infusion pumps are used. Larger format labels permit drug name, total dose/total volume and concentration to be printed on the label and an area for patient information to be written. The 80mm x 30mm label is designed to fit the entire gradation range of a 50cc syringe. This unique label can also be applied to 10cc syringes commonly used during medication preparation by removing the perforated tab at 70mm.
