Built-in passive crossover
Today’s music and video sound sources are fully appreciated only when the loudspeaker system is capable of reproducing all of the sound--from the crisp, high frequencies to the deepest low frequencies. Overall system performances, as well as visual aesthetics, can often be enhanced by using a subwoofer system for low frequency reproduction. The Control SB Micro low frequency enclosure provides solid, deep bass for full frequency response when combined with flush mount loudspeaker systems. It relies on a double chamber bandpass design to smoothly extend bass response to below 40 Hz while acoustically filtering information above the 225 Hz crossover point. Because the Control SB Micro only reproduces the very lowest frequencies, it can be positioned unobtrusively out of sight, yet its sound will be heard throughout the listening environment. Its compact size allows it to be placed behind or beside other furnishings in the room or even installed within walls or floor cavities, thus minimizing the visual impact often caused by large, bulky floor standing speaker systems.
