The conversion consists of installing an air mix motor, current style mix coupling and blade assembly to the blender. INSTRUCTIONS DISCONNECT AIR AND POWER TO BLENDER BEFORE STARTING ANY WORK 1. ELECTRIC MOTOR REMOVAL A) Unplug motor from controller. B) Remove motor cover. Remove (10) sheet-metal screws and slide cover back C) Remove (4) nuts and bolts holding electric motor assembly to back of micro-blender frame.

Align Mix Motor so that when looking at it from the back of the blender,
the elbow fittings should point down and to the right

B) Remove (2) orange plugs from fittings on solenoid tray. C) Remove Airline running to level sensor blow-off. D) Plumb airlines as shown below. Plumb 12" Airline from this Flow Control Fitting to the Y-Fitting Plumb 13" Airline from this Flow Control Fitting to the Front Port of the Mix Motor

INSTALL NEW COUPLING A) Ensure that motor shaft is in rest position and does not rotate during installation. If possible, reattach air supply to blender for this step, ensuring that shaft does not turn during installation. Do not turn on controller. Be careful to keep hands away from motor shaft as you connect the air, as shaft will quickly return to rest position. With the air supply connected, the motor should be locked into the rest position and you can install coupling.
B) Loosely thread screw into coupling. Use Loctite (or other thread-locker on the screw). C) Align coupling as shown below and slide onto motor shaft as far as it will go until coupling pin touches the end of the shaft. There should be a 0.020” [ 0.5 mm ] gap between back of coupling and frame.
D) With coupling properly aligned, tighten socket head cap screw. If a torque wrench is available, tighten screw to 15 ft-lbs [ 20 N-m ] of torque.

B) Remove collar from mix shaft and slide mix blade out of window. 5. INSTALL NEW MIX BLADE A) Slide new blade assembly through door and align as shown in drawing. B) Install new outer collar and fasten by driving in new roll pin supplied with kit. Note the orientation of the mix blade with respect to the red arrow on the outer collar. C) When installing door in micro-blender, the red arrow should be pointing up to correctly align blade with coupling.

SET THE MPO PARAMETER ON THE CONTROLLER MPO sets the timing (in tenths of a second) of the clockwise and counterclockwise rotation of the mix blade. Standard setting is MPO 00010, which is 1 second for each direction. A) Turn controller on with the two toggle switches on the left endplate down in the “STOP-END OF CYCLE” and “IMMEDIATE PAUSE” position. B) Press (*22222) to get into program mode. C) Press the PARA key to bring up the system parameters. D) Continue to press the PARA key to cycle through the system parameters until the display reads MPO on the left hand side. It should be the sixth parameter. E) Enter (00010) on the keypad. The display should then read (MPO 00010). F) Press EXIT once to exit the parameter list. G) Press EXIT again to exit program mode.
