Standard Dome IR Bullet IR Bullet Connection Dome Camera Connection Dome Camera 3) Connection to RS-485 1) Connection to Monitor VIDEO Using an RS485 connection you can control the OSD menu via the DVR or system controller. (1) Control via a PC Using a RS-485 converter, It connects to RS-485 control cable outside camera and serial cable EX) SERIAL PORT OF THE PC(COM1) → SERIAL CABLE → RS-485 CONVERTER → RS-485 CONTROL CABLE (2) When controlling via a DVR or system controller connect the RS-485. Note Power Input - When using a control system to operate the camera, please use the protocol: SAMSUNG, PELCO-P or PELCO-D . - When use the RS485 control cable isolate the Drain wire. 4) Connection to Alarm If you wish to use RS-485 connection, verify the proper polarity. 12 Please see above RS485 connection picture. CAMERA BNC jack 1) Connect the VIDEO IN of the unit and VIDEO OUT of the A1 Camera directly. - For proper data communication, the unit and A1 camera should be connected directly. (If you connect a DVR or keyboard in the middle of the main unit and A1 camera, bidirectional communication will not be established.) 2) Connect VIDEO OUT of the main unit to a monitor’s video input terminal. 3) Setting the protocol and address and baud rate, please the next page. 2. TO CONTROL THE CAMERA USING RS-485 DEVICE VIA COAXIAL COMMUNICATIONS CAMERA BNC jack 1) Connect the VIDEO IN of the unit and VIDEO OUT of the A1 Camera directly. - For proper data communication, the unit and A1 camera should be connected directly. (If you connect a DVR or keyboard in the middle of the main unit and A1 camera, bidirectional communication will not be established.) 2) Connect VIDEO OUT of the main unit to a monitor’s video input terminal. 3) Connect TX(+/-) of RS-485 device to RX(+/-) of the main unit. (For a full duplex system, connect RX(+/-) of RS-485 device to TX (+/-) of main unit additionally.) 4) Setting the protocol and address and baud rate, please the next page. 5) Using RS-485 device, you can control the camera menu. 22 23 Installation IR Bullet Camera 1) Metal Bracket Fixed - using 4 screws, affix the metal bracket to wall or other surfaces. 2) Power Connect & Monitor Impedance Made sure which power supply that you selected before you use. - DC12V regulated power supply (DC12V only) Dual power supply (AC24V/DC12V) - To avoid fire or shock hazard, must use a UL listed power supply. - Set the monitor impedance switch to 75½. Check the impedance switch when the screen turns blurred. 3) Focus and Functions Adjust - Loose the magnet-screw , and open the osd-cover , and use the extra cable to adjust the focus and others functions . After finished, please tighten the osd-cover and Connection IR Bullet Camera 1) Connection to Monitor VIDEO Camera magnet-screw carefully . Note 1. When you tighten the osd-cover, please make sure that you tighten well and already adjust the function that you wish. 2.
