DENTAL UNIT AND CHAIR CP-ONE PLUS IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS This manual provides installation instructions for Belmont CP-ONE PLUS. The instructions contained in this booklet should be thoroughly read and understood before attempting installation of the system. Electric diagram for dental light 720S----------------------------------------- 20 1. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1-1. Pre-Installation Requirements 1-1-1. General requirements 1) The contractor is to supply the necessary service and materials to complete the installation of the satisfaction of the dentists and the installation engineer. 2) This includes the supply and installation of the electric power supply cables with main isolating switch and fuses, air supply piping, water supply piping, suction piping including vacuum pump and its control wires and drain piping as noted on the installation diagrams. 1-1-2. Setting requirements 1) The CP ONE PLUS dental unit comprises a Chair section, Cuspidor section, Doctor unit section and Light section. 2) The CP-ONE PLUS should be mounted taking the opening end of drain pipe into due consideration. Refer to Fig.3-1-1. 3) The place on which the CP-ONE PLUS (approx. 260 kg) is set must have endurance force of 400kg/m2. 4) The setting position of the CP-ONE PLUS chair is shown in Fig.1-1-1,Fig.1-1-2 as recommended example. 1-1-3. Piping and plumbing requirements 1) All pipings and conduits for cables are to be laid down under the floor and to come out from the floor. 2) The installation position and height from the floor of each pipe and cable conduit are shown in Fig.1-1-3. 3) The recommended sizes, materials and end piece are shown in Table-1. Note : The suction pipe and drain pipe should be laid under the floor with an inclination of 1/200 - 1/400. 4) All Piping should be arranged avoiding bend as much as possible. 1-1-4. Air supply requirements 1) Compressed air to be supplied should be filtered. Dirty and moistured air may cause trouble in unit air system. 2) Air Pressure Regulate the outlet air pressure of the compressor to the utility section at 0.54 - 0.59 Mpa(5.0-5.5kg/cm2 ) and the air pressure should be kept higher than 0.49 Mpa (5kg/cm2 ) at any time. 3) Compressed Air Supply Capacity Compressed air supply capacity is at least 55 l/min. (Central Vacuum type) 1-1-5. Water supply requirements 1) The supply water should be clean. Dirty water may cause trouble in unit water line. 2) Water Pressure More than 0.1 Mpa (1kg/cm2 ) water pressure in utility section is required for operating unit efficiently at any time. 1-1-6. Electric supply requirements 1) The connection of power supply cable is to be carried out in accordance with the local electric regulation. 2) Rating of supply voltage and power consumption 100/110/115V Type Single Phase 50/60 Hz : 10 A 220/230/240V Type Single Phase 50/60 Hz : 6 A 3) Power supply line should be provided with fuses or circuit breaker in accordance with power consumption. 4) The earth wire (ground wire) should be provided in the utility section. 5) All cables should have at least 500mm surplus from the floor so that they are long enough to be connected with the terminals in the utility section. -1- 1-1-7. The base mount type is to be delivered into three packages. (Chair section, Unit section and Dental Light) The cart type is to be delivered into four packages. (Chair section, Cart section, Cuspidor Section and Dental Light) 2. Remove all the staples fixing carton to pallet, or cut the carton just above the stapled line, and remove the carton. 1-3. Installation of Chair Base Do not lift the chair by upper structure. Do not damage the piping and wirings by the chair base. 1. Place the base section with pallet behind the planned location for chair. 2. Remove three wood screws from the base plate.   3. Remove the base section from the pallet by holding the carriage bars, then place it at planned location. Refer to Fig. 1-3-1. Carriage bar Carriage bar Carriage bar Fig. 1-3-1 4. Remove the red tagged oil plug from the oil reservoir. 5. Connect the power supply line wires to the electric terminal block. Refer to Fig.1-3-2. Fig. 1-3-2 Power supply 6. Press the stick switch, then raise the chair upperstructure to install unit section. Refer to Fig.1-3-3. Up Stick Switch Fig. 1-3-3 7. Fix the stick switch and stick switch cover to the base plate. Refer to Fig 1-3-4. Stick Switch Stick Switch Cover Base Plate Fig. 1-3-4 -4- 1-4. Installation of Doctor Unit 1. Remove four bolts from the pallet. 2. Remove the doctor table from the pallet. 3. Fix the doctor table to the chair base plate. Refer to Fig.1-4-1. Doctor Table Unit Do not damage tubings and wires. Chair Base Plate Fig.1-4-1 4. Remove two screws from the bottom of the arc station. 5. Remove the sttoper bolt from the shaft of arc station. Refer to Fig. 1-4-2. Arc Station Stopper Bolt 2-Screws Fig.1-4-2 4. Connect the connector to the micro switch on the base plate. Refer to Fig. 1-4-3. 5. Insert the hoses and wires to the main link cover. Refer to Fig. 1-4-3. Remove the cuspidor unit from the transportation bracket. 3. Fix the cuspidor unit to the chair link bracket with four hex head screws and flat washers. Refer to Fig.1-4-5. Chair Link Bracket Fig.1-5-1 -5- 1-6. Installation of Utility Section 1. Remove junction box assembly from the pallet. 2. Fix the jumction box assembly to chair base plate with two pan head screws (M5-10) . Refer to Fig.1-6-1. Junction Box Assembly Base Plate Fig.1-6-1 3. Cut the drain hose and vacuum hose from the cuspidor unit at suitable length and connect them to each elbow with plastic glue. 4. Insert the drain hose elbow and vacuum hose elbow into each piping. Note ; Drain pipe should be sealed with silicon sealant or taping. 5. Confirm that the pipings and wirings are laid out in accordance with Fig.1-1-3. 6. Install water and air stop valves to each supply pipe. The direction of stop valves are shown in Fig.1-6-2. After installation of the stop valves, open the valves and flush out dust and chips in the pipings. Note : Stop valves are packed in the unit section carton. 8. Bend the stainless steel flexible pipe at suitable angle for water and air line connection. 9. Connect the water supply line to the water stop valve with stainless steel flexible pipe. 10.Connect the air supply line to the air stop valve with stainless steel flexible pipe. -6- 1-7. Tubings connection. Refer to Fig.1-7-1. Connect the tubings from the doctor table(1-5) and cuspidor unit(6-8) to the utility parts. Installation of Base Cover. Refer to Fig.9-1-1. 1. Fix the front base cover to the chair base plate with three pan head screws (M5-10). and the flat head screw(M5-8) w/set cap washer. 2. Fix the rear base cover to the chair base plate with four flat head screws (M5-8) w/set cap screw and flat head screw(M5-20) w/set cap screw. 3. Fix the rear base cover to the chair base plate through the stick switch cover with two flat head screws(M5-12) w/set cap screws. 4. Installation of Foot Control. Refer to Fig.1-9-2 1. Fix the wire of foot controller to the chair base plate with clamp. 2. Connect the connector of foot controller to the connector from the main p.c.b. Foot Controller Clamp Fig.1-10-1 -8- 1-11. Installation of Dental Light Section 1. Pass the light cable through the horizontal arm and insert the light spigot into the horizontal arm and fix it with two button screws (M6-8). Refer to Fig.1-11-1. 2. Pass the light cable through light pole to light post bottom. Refer to Fig.1-11-2. 3. Remove the cuspidor upper cover. 4. Set the ring to light pole. 5. Insert the light post to the cuspidor unit. 6. Set brake screws and stopper screw. Fix the back panel to the cuspidor unit. 3. Fix the junction box top to the junction box chassis with two pan head screws(M4-25).
