2 free skill level Project courtesy of Walnut Hollow® Designed by Janet Wilhelm SUPPLIES & TOOLS: • Walnut Hollow® Creative Metal™: Beginner Kit, items used below, but not listed are included in kit Design Borders A Metal tape Brass metal roll • 2 sheets decorative paper • Cardstock • Yarn • Antique medium • Craft glue • Paper towel • Paper punch • Sandpaper • Small sponge or brush • Tape DIRECTIONS: 1. From decorative paper cut two 2"x7" rectangles. Glue two rectangles together with decorative sides of paper visible front & back. 2. Cut 61⁄4"x11⁄4" rectangle from brass metal roll. Place cut metal on Design Border. Tape in place. Use the Texture Tool to rub over Design Border to reveal the image. Continue pressing into the grooves until entire design is visible. Remove metal from Border Design. Place metal on foam mat. To add a decorative edge to rectangle, attach medium roller onto Handle. Using metal ruler as guide pull roller along edges of metal. Remove metal from foam mat. 3. Use small sponge or brush to apply antique medium to front of metal. Remove excess with paper towel. Allow to dry. Lightly sand metal to highlight design. 4. Cut 61⁄2"x11⁄2" rectangle from cardstock. Adhere metal to cardstock with metal tape. Cut tape to fit back of metal along edges. Remove backing. Lay metal on cardstock; press in place. Refer to photo. Glue cardstock to decorative paper. creative metal bookmark 5. Use paper punch to create a hole in top center. Cut two or three 7" lengths of yarn. Fold yarn in half. Push folded end through hole. Pull loose ends through folded loop; pull to tighten. Trim ends of yarn.
