La Crescent-Hokah School District RFP - CRITICAL COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM La Crescent Area Public Schools La Crescent MN 55947 Currently, we have a Telecor XL in the Elementary and a Rauland ICS in the MS/HS for paging system. These systems are outdated and may need upgrades/replacing. The Critical Communications System will meet the following criteria and provide the feature set stated as a minimum level. The system shall integrate with the existing intercom system at the elementary school. The system shall integrate with the existing district wide door access control system (ID Axxess and door card readers) and shall incorporate the mobile APP features within that access control system. Telephone System Integration The ability to use specified/any school district telephone system phone to accomplish the following: ● ● ● ● Make an all call page to any building (ES, MS/HS). Make a zone page to any building (ES, MS/HS). Make individual room communication connection (via speaker) to any room cable as such. Select a pre-recorded message and activate it. Master Administrative Control Console – Hardwired A critical communications master control console (hard wired to the intercom system in each school) will be located in each building’s office and will provide the following: ● ● ● A means of making the following communications should the telephone system be in-operational at the time of need o Make an all call page to any building (ES, MS/HS). o Make a zone page to any building (ES, MS/HS). o Make individual room communication connection (via speaker) to any room cable as such with talk back/two way communications capability through the speaker. o Select a pre-recorded message and activate it (minimum of eight available prerecorded messages). Serve as a one button push ALL CALL emergency station. Through this hardwired console, allow set up programming, class pass tone schedule selections and changes. Pre-Recorded Message Control Console The ability to select and activate a pre-recorded message from a hard wired button console located in each office (a minimum of eight button/lights for selection/activation). ● ● ● Simply push the button and select the labeled pre-recorded message that is needed. Light comes on above button to show selection. Push another button of higher priority and message will switch to that message activation. Mobile APP The MOBILE APP provides the following functionality (must function with existing access control system) minimum of eight mass notification alert messages. ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Control of Any/All/Certain Doors (Lock, Unlock, Lockout) Lock Down / Lock Out – Emergency Action for Securing the Building Credential Control – Suspend, Terminate Active Credentials System Status – View the status of all doors, controllers, etc. on the system MNS Selection – Activate Pre-Recorded Messages Send text or email alerts upon MNS message selection to individuals, groups, or all, and any combination thereof. Optional Future Feature – Not Included – check in – staff check in after critical communication event activation Must be agnostic to hardware/OS brands – Apple iOS, Android, Windows, PC, MAC Software Based Class Pass Tone (Bell Scheduling) Create, Edit, Select Class Pass Tone Schedule from software on a PC: ● ● ● ● No longer necessary to manage bell schedules from a push button admin console - select, create or edit bell schedules from software on a PC. Allow this work to be done from the comfort of desk and PC. Simple to use software guides you through the process. Ability to connect to multiple buildings for management of schedules Critical Communication – Listen mode Connect to any zone or room and listen to activity – used in emergency events to gain knowledge and situational awareness (Note: the system in normal mode will beep every 30 seconds so that staff would know that “listen mode” is activated. Time Synchronization Synchronize all bell schedules and wall clocks that have synchronization capabilities. Provide quote for wireless synchronized wall clock system for the elementary school as an optional bid. Digital Calendar Clock – Textual Message Center Large display that normally shows time and date, that can also display textual messages ● ● Currently proposed to be included one for each main office, two (2) included More of these units can be installed throughout the buildings if desired (only the two, one in each main office, is included at this time).
