FIBER OPTIC TECHNOLOGY CALIBRATION LABORATORY CRM-3500 Rack Mount Type Intelligent SNMP Ethernet Media Converters Series Description: The CRM-3500 is a standalone 10/100Base-TX/FX media converter, a new version of the rack type of the media converter that can extend the transmission distance between two Fast Ethernet Twisted-pair devices via fiber cable transparently with no performance degradation. One rack system can equip maximum 16 slots of 10/100Base-T media converter modules without control function. In a multi-rack environment one master can control 120 10/100Base-T media converter modules. It can reduce the operation costs. CRM-3500 has remotely monitoring and setting capability, and provides loopback function for selfdiagnostic. Using Telways SNMP management system (UltraVista), network administrators can easily set up, configure and monitor the whole rack systems, which are installed remotely in different locations. Supports hot-swappable function. Provides with nonvolatile memory backup, through which the system configuration data shall be automatically backed up after each primary memory is updated. Provides master and slave control cards for stackable management, one master can manage 120 ports. The master card has SNMP management function. Provides local and remote speed, duplex mode setting or enable the auto negotiation and bandwidth control function. Provides local and remote reset function. Provide Link fault pass through function. Provides local and remote monitoring the electrical and optical link status. Provide SNTP system time synchronization function. Provides remote loopback testing function and build in self-diagnostic remote loopback testing capability. Provides FTP/TFTP system image upgrade and Telnet function. Supports long packet frame 1600 bytes. NEW: CWDM DFB Laser transceivers operate at a nominal wavelength of 1270-1610nm.
