Stand Alone (Auto Mode and Sound Active mode): 1. Plug the fixture in and put dipswitches 1-9 & dipswitch F2 in the “Off” position, and put the F1 dipswitch in the “On” position. Universal DMX Control: This unit allows you to use any universal DMX-512 controller to control the different DMX traits. A DMX controller allows you to create unique programs tailored to your individual needs. 1. The Crystal Ray LED uses four DMX channels. 2. To control your fixture in DMX mode, follow the set-up specifications that are included with your DMX con- troller. 3. Set your desired DMX address using dipswitches 1-9. 4. Use the controller’s faders to control the various DMX fixture traits. 5. For longer cable runs (more than a 100 feet) use a terminator on the last fixture. 6. For help operating in DMX mode consult the manual included with your DMX controller. Master-Slave Operation (Auto Mode or Sound Active): This function will allow you to link up to 16 units together and operate without a controller. In Master-Slave operation one unit will act as the controlling unit and the others will react to the controlling units operation. Any unit can act as a Master or as a Slave. 1. Using standard XLR microphone cables, daisy chain your units together via the XLR connector on the rear of the units. Remember the Male XLR connector is the input and the Female XLR connector is the output. For longer cable runs we suggest a terminator at the last fixture. 2. The dipswitch settings for Master/Slave mode is as follows. For Sound Active mode the Master unit must have dipswitches 1-9 in the “Off” position and F1 dipswitch in the “On” position. 3. For the slave units, put dipswitch F1 “On” and F2 “Off” for a synchronous pattern. For a contrasting pattern put the F2 dipswitch in the “On” position.
