[SEE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS] Attach wall fixing brackets to TV mount bracket using the variety of slots available to line up to wall studs or brick position. Use 4 x M6 bolts with nylock nuts with 8 x washer’s front and rear to secure the brackets. 6 TYPE OF FIX Should you be in any doubt about the fixings you are using to secure the stand to the wall you must seek advice from a qualified architect or structural engineer. Wall Fixings These are not part of the fixing kit and therefore you should ensure that you have adequate stock of a variety of screw, bolt and snap toggle fixings together with washers. NOTE: A variety of stud/metal and live wire detectors are available which will assist you. SOLID CONSTRUCTION When fixing stand to solid construction walls the minimum fixings to be used are M8 x 80mm rawl bolts. You need to ensure that you have a true and firm fix after the insertion of the sleeve and bolt. PLASTERBOARD AND TIMBER When fixing stand to plasterboard/timber construction walls the minimum fixings to be used are M6 x 70mm coach screws. You need to ensure that you have a true and firm fix into wood after the insertion of the sleeve and bolt. PLASTERBOARD WITH METAL When fixing stand to plasterboard wall with a metal frame or even hollow block there are two possible solutions to ensure that you have the best fixings to support the stand onto the wall. The first solution is to use SNAPTOGGLE toggle bolts which are designed to support heavy loads, allowing you to fix directly into the metal frame work or hollow block scenario. The second solution is to fix a supporting board which will span across the fixing points of the framework. For example MDF may be used, size to be established on site visit, This will add substantial support to the fixing. Should you be in any doubt about the fixings you are using to secure the stand to the wall you must seek advice from a qualified architect or structural engineer. Page 5 7 Place TV/Screen face down on a soft, scratch resistant surface. Using a blanket will ensure no damage is done to the unit. Match the two brackets round holes to the bottom with the screw holes in the back of the TV/screen. Washers may be required where the mounting holes are recessed. Fit the TV Mounting brackets to the rear of the TV/screen with the series of round holes to the bottom. Then hang the screen via these brackets onto the Stand Mounting plate. Centre the TV/screen on the mount. The locking bar is fitted after the screen is mounted. Following a correct installation this ensures the TV/screen can’t be pulled off the wall without the removal of this bar. Important It is vital that the TV mounting brackets are fitted with the holes to the bottom to ensure that the locking bar will work correctly. Page 6
