21. Hitachi CU-HD1300FT dual-purpose CCU has both triax and optical fiber interface and. Triax adaptor CX-HD1300 and the CU-HD1300FT transmit 3G(1080p)/1.5G(1080i) video on long distance triax cable using original ultra-low latency H.264 codec and multilevel digital modulation technology. The CU-HD1300FT transmits 3G(1080p)/HD(1080i) video with no compression via optical fiber.

Notes of Triax system 1. On the digital triax transmission system, the video transmission latency as below. - Camera video latency from the camera head to the CCU: approx. 12 msec - Return and Prompter video latency from the CCU to the camera head: approx. 1 frame. 2. When genlock signal is plugged / un-plugged, or strong electrostatic discharge is applied, the camera video might go black screen temporarily. This is not malfunction. 3. The maximum triax cable length depends on cable type as following table. However deteriorated cable or poor characteristic cables might shorten the maximum cable length. System configuration: Mode selection method The system configuration can be changed by CCU menu. Press the menu button on RU-1500JY, so that following menu will appear on CCU PIX output. The operation mode can be changed by “CABLE TYPE” on the menu. This change is available on STBY mode (camera power is off).

System configuration: Triax operation mode Triax system configuration Attach the triax adaptor CX-HD1300 to the camera head SK-HD1300, and also connect remote control unit RU-1500 or setup control unit SU-1000 to the CCU CU-HD1300FT.
1. Sequence of AC power supply for camera Turn on the CCU POWER switch of CU-HD1300FT, and then triax cable connection is automatically detected (approx. 5 seconds after). If the cable connection is successful, the OK LED of CABLE CHECK lights and the CAMERA POWER button can be turned on to supply the camera power. NOTE: When the camera power is turned off and restarted, it takes approx. 10 seconds to enable the CAMERA POWER button.

System configuration: Hybrid fiber optic cable mode Optical system configuration Attach the camera adaptor CA-HF1200 to the camera head SK-HD1300, and also connect remote control unit RU-1500 or setup control unit SU-1000 to the CCU CU-HD1300FT.
1. Sequence of AC power supply for camera Turn on the CCU POWER switch of CU-HD1300FT, and then HFOC cable connection is automatically detected (approx. 5 seconds after). If the cable connection is successful, the OK LED of CABLE CHECK lights and the CAMERA POWER button can be turned on to supply the camera power. NOTE: When the camera power is turned off and restarted, it takes approx. 10 seconds to enable the CAMERA POWER button.
2. Camera stand-alone operation By supplying DC12V power to the DC IN connector of CA-HF1200 without optical cable, the camera works as stand-alone. In the stand-alone operation, camera video is output from MON output of camera head and HD-SDI1 output of camera adaptor.

System configuration: Single mode fiber mode 1.Setup for the single mode fiber mode Supply external power locally to the camera adaptor to extend the maximum cable distance. The setup is following procedure. 1) Connect the camera adapter CA-HF1200 and camera control unit CU-HD1300FT with single mode fiber cable. 2) Power up the CU-HD1300FT. 3) Display the menu screen on CU-HD1300FT. 4) Set the “CABLE TYPE” to “OPT SINGLE” on the CU-FUNCTION menu. (Note) The setting can be changed in standby mode (camera power off) 5) Supply DC12V power to the DC IN connector of CA-HF1200. 6)Set the POWER switch of CA-HF1200 to EXT side.

System configuration diagram Camera system connections CU-HD1300FT is connected to camera head SK-HD1300 attached with triax adaptor CX-HD1300 via triax cable. Also, it is connected to camera adaptor CA-HF1200 via optical fiber cable. RU-1500JY : The remote control unit RU-1500JY can control above system. SU-1000 : The setup control unit SU-1000 can control above system up to 12 camera chains or up to 128 camera chains with LAN connections.

Indication In case of TRIAX MODE, CCU supplies power. Change CX POWER SW to CCU. CX-HD1300 needs external power. Connect external power to CX-HD1300. CCU does not supply power to CX-HD1300. The CCU FAN is abnormal. The FAN stops, or rotary speed declines by deterioration. The CX-HD1300 FAN is abnormal. The FAN stops, or rotary speed declines by deterioration.
When the FAN ALARM is shown, it is necessary to repair the system immediately.
