Safety Caution Please read this ‘Safety Caution’ before using the printer and always follow the guideline provided. This guideline is provided to ensure the safety of users, prevent the injury of third parties and prevent damage to the printer. If you do not follow this guideline, it may lead to serious injuries or printer damage. The printer has a number of moving parts, including the motor, belt and gear. There is the risk of injury or property damage from being trapped if a body part or fixtures are placed inside the printer during an operation. Penetration of water or other liquids as well as the metal pieces or other conductive foreign substances inside the printer can cause fire or electric shock. Please be careful to avoid operating the printer with wet hands, as this can cause fire or electric shock. 3 CUBICON Lux User Manual(160922,En) Select the installation site carefully to avoid causing injury to children or pets. Children or pets must be observed and protected carefully if they are near the printer. The printer and its parts have sharp edges. Be careful to avoid injury or printer damage. Do not destroy or alter the printer’s power cable or USB cable, and make sure that only the rated voltage is supplied. To move the printer, stop the printer operation, and remove resin after the internal parts the printer is turned off. There is the risk of injury or property damage from being trapped if a body part or fixtures are placed inside the printer during an operation. Make sure to avoid direct contact of eyes or skin with the printer material liqied, and make sure to wash your skin with soapy water as the printer material is consist of stimulative liquid. Do not install the printer outdoors or in a vibrating, humid or dusty area. Do not install the printer in an unstable or uneven surface. In addition, please take care to remove any object that may be damaged by the heat or vibration generated by the printer’s operation. Do not disassemble or alter the printer except as specified in the Operation Manual, as it may cause the injury or printer damage. Any problem caused form this issue will not be covered by the warranty. Do not apply excessive force or impact to the printer, as it may cause injury or printer damage. Read the caution in the Operation Manual carefully before using the printer. 2. Cautions for using Please read this ‘Caution for Using’ before using the printer and always follow the guideline provided Printing file preparation Specific printing file (*.hdb) is created using CubicreatorLP, which is specific slicing software of CUBICON Lux. Make sure to select CubicreatorLP saved printing condition, and print a file out using Resin CUBICON resin in printing process. Setting value may require changes based on output form. Supplementary resin Resin shortage related failure can be prevented using supplementary resin container in the case of print materials with big volume. container Make sure to check resin in supplementary resin container and recharge, when the resin is insufficient in prior to printing. Make sure to check transparent double formedlevel of VAT floor in prior to printing. Resin VAT sheet condition check Foreign substances, surface condition problems may cause printing failure or printing quality may decrease. Make sure to maintain clean condition and double formedlevel transparency degree. Replace resin VAT sheet in the case of double formedlevel problem. Building plate check and separation/combination Make sure to check building plate cleanliness and assembly condition. Poor cleanliness and assembly condition may cause printing quality decrease. 4 CUBICON Lux User Manual(160922,En) AS requirement Take a photo/video of problematic file and situation along with inside printer, LCD screen. preparation * User shall explain the problematic part of product clearly for effective A/S. 3. Introduction to CUBICON Lux Operation CUBICON Lux DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology uses UV light to turn liquid resin into a solid object, one layer at a time CUBICON Lux is user friendly and there is a wide variety of features added to increase the stability of the output. Compact Design / Applied 4.3” color touch LCD CUBICON Lux CUBICON Lux is designed not only its function but also formative element and its compact design is possible to use even in small place such as table. And also, CUBICON Lux can be used in various places especially hygienic environment such as school, dentist, and jewelry shop. 4.3-inch color touch LCD is applied to CUBICON Lux, Everyone can use easily and conveniently. 5 CUBICON Lux User Manual(160922,En) Applied to The world's first self-designed Auto Leveling Platform a model printing building plate and VAT initial distance is important elements, which decides output quality. In the case of general DLP printers, user shall find VAT and distance by moving building plate manually. Sensor Precision sensor Home 정밀 센서 VAT Sensor Zero point Sheet CUBICON Lux possesses auto leveling function, which finds starting point automatically in every printing process by using precision sensor. Even beginners can use the printer easily and conveniently. Therefore, printing failure is minimized. Besides, building plate is designed to detach output model easily from building plate after printing completion. Experience Auto Leveling function - the pride of Cubicon Lux. Lamp brightness correction algorithm DLP-style printers use UV light for curing resins, and adding. It is very important to have the same light output in all the building area. 6 CUBICON Lux User Manual(160922,En) CUBICON Lux Applied brightness correction function separates 48building area, each area of the region is able to control the light intensity. Before being shipped, precision UV meter is used for light intensity of each zone and calibrated. Multilayer Soft release film applied to VAT The most important core technology of the DLP printer is transparent double formed level of VAT. VAT is important to have formation of the sculpture, light permeability and durability. Release film Silicon Acryl CUBICON Lux The structure of VAT consists of solid acrylic floor for add height, clarity if light and improvement of mold ability for optical silicone, and high durability and dysplasia for release film. CUBICON Lux can print stable output regardless of output size/shape and increased durability significantly in its normal use, and also it can be replaced quickly and easily. Support to printout by USB memory 7 CUBICON Lux User Manual(160922,En) CUBICON Lux Applies self-developed embedded systems can easily print without PC USB memory. Automatic Resin supply system In the case of general DLP printer, user shall supply resin to VAT manually and printing failure occurs frequently due to resin shortage in printing process. Printing failure caused by resin shortage in continuous printing process has been decreased by automatic resin supplement function of CUBICON Lux. 500mL supplement container can be equipped to the printer and shell structure model can also be printed by maintenance of fixed resin level. Supplementary resin container is designed to make simple detachement/attachement possible. Vat Tilt system 8 CUBICON Lux User Manual(160922,En) Tilting system which is contained of precise parts is applied to CUBICON Lux. One of the advantages of tilting system is exact location precision degree and low noise in the printer operation. VAT tilting function plays role in removing a model easily from VAT floor. Material (Photopolymer) provide CUBICON Lux provides photopolymer which prides on optimal quality. Castable series, which can be produced with acryl series and casting material are planned to launch. Applied activated carbon filter Impregnated activated carbon filter Increases the adsorption performance of gases with chemical properties by impregnating chemicals on the surface of activated carbon Activated carbon filter which considers user’s health is applied the first time in Korea. Activated carbon filter absorbs raw material’s gas and smell which occur caused by DLP 3D printer property and provides pleasant 3D printing environment for user’s health. Activated carbon filter can be used easily by its relatively simple design. 9 CUBICON Lux User Manual(160922,En) 4. Parts and Accessories Printer is packed after all parts of printer are inspected.
