Introducing the new CYCLOPS DL-1000 Data Logging System for use with CYCLOPS high precision, portable infrared thermometers. The new Pocket PC based Cyclops DL-1000 Data Logging System provides a fast and simple method for logging temperature readings taken using a range Land Cyclops portable infrared thermometers. The stored readings can then be transferred from the Pocket PC using Microsoft ActivSync file transfer utility to a partnership PC for further analysis and trending purposes. The Data Logging System can be used with the Land Cyclops 300AF/300bAF, Cyclops 153/153A and Land FurnacePro. There is a choice of set up options available when creating a new measurement logging session, depending on the thermometer type being used, including: thermometer type, temperature units and text identifier. Additional temperature logging functions such as timed
acquisition, timer interval and background measurements can be set up when the actual measurements are being made. The timed acquisition function allows temperature data to be logged automatically at predetermined intervals ranging from 1 to 3600 seconds in 1 second increments. The background function is available when using a Cyclops 153/153A or FurnacePro thermometer, enabling true temperature readings to be calculated in applications where the target temperature is lower than the surrounding background, such as reheat and reformer tube furnaces. The true target temperature is automatically corrected for errors caused by reflected hotter background temperatures. Once the data has been logged it is saved on the Pocket PC and transfered to the partnership PC as a .txt file for use in a choice of wordprocessing and spreadsheet programs.
