Motion Scenario Erica jogs to the new burger shop eager to try the new triple stacked bacon-bacon-and more bacon burger and makes it there in 40 minutes. When she arrives, she realizes she forgot to bring money and doesn’t even go inside. Bummed, she walks back towards home, but 20 minutes later she passes the pet store and sees a pet adoption taking place. She spends 10 minutes loving on the dogs before she walks her last mile home in 10 minutes. Lance goes 1 mile to the pet store and arrives there in 10 minutes. He buys food for his fish, Bartholomew, and is out the door in another 10 minutes. He then drives 4 miles to the library, a 20 minute trip, to drop off and check out a new book. He spends 20 minutes at the library, and then heads to the park – a 10 minute trip. He starts reading his book on the bench and finishes it only 50 minutes. He drives back to the library – 10 minutes – and then spends 10 minutes there browsing for another book. Trey makes the 30 minute trip to the park, where he stays for 30 minutes, He begins to get hungry and starts to return home, but not before driving 10 minutes to the local burger shop. He enjoys his lunch over twenty minutes. During lunch, he remembers that he needs to pick up cat food. He drives to the pet store in 10 minutes, spends 10 minutes there, and then makes it home 10 minutes later. Shannon, feeling highly motivated, decides to run to the gym to get her workout in today. She arrives there, 8 miles away, in 60 minutes. When she arrives, she is painstakingly devastated that the gym is closed! She turns around immediately, and returns home. This time, due to exhaustion, the trip takes her 80 minutes. Norman heads to get his hair cut, but thirty minutes into his trip, stops at the store to get money at the ATM. Ten minutes later he’s back on the road to the barber shop. He arrives there 10 minutes later and spends 30 minutes from check in, to hair cut, to check out. He decides to treat himself to a flavored coffee. So, he drives the ten minutes to the coffee shop, waits 10 minutes for his delicious coffee, and then drives for 10 minutes to the library. He spends 10 minutes checking out a new book and then makes it home 20 minutes later. Misty is obsessed with the new cake pops at the local coffee shop. She makes the trip there in 20 minutes, but in her rush forgot her money, and immediately returns home in another 20 minutes. Determined to get a cake pop, so she made the 20 minute drive back to the coffee shop. She waits twenty minutes for a fresh batch of cake pops and then eats one in her 10 minute trip to the library. She drops off a book and checked out a new one in 10 minutes. Over her 20 minute trip back home, she enjoyed two more cake pops! Stephanie drives 8 miles to the gym, a trip that takes 20 minutes. She spends an entire hour there working on her Olympic weight lifting technique. She starts to return home, but 10 minutes into her trip, stops to pick up groceries from the store.
