Rack Mounting D-Series™ Device Controller Installation Quick Start  Separate the inner rails from the outer rails. For both rail assemblies: pull the inner rail out of the outer rail until it is fully extended. Press the locking tab down to release and separate the inner rails. ▪ 2RU Chassis (1) ▪ Power Cables (2) For each side of the chassis: place the Inner rail against the side of the chassis. Align the hooks on the side of the chassis with the holes in the inner rail. Slide the inner rail forward toward the front of the chassis until the rail clicks into the locked position. Attach the inner rail to the chassis with screws. Install the outer rails on the rack  Shipping Contents Chassis, Cables and Connectors  Install the inner rails on the chassis. For each side of the rack: press up on the locking tab at the rear end of the middle rail. Push the middle rail back into the outer rail. Use the supplied adapters for racks with round holes.  Rack Rail Kit ▪ Rails (2) ▪ Slides (2)  Customer Supplied Items ▪ VGA Monitor ▪ USB Keyboard and Mouse or KVM  Secure the rails to the rack. Hang the hooks on the front of the outer rail onto the slots on the front of the rack. Secure the rails to the rack with screws. Adjust the length until it fits within the posts of the rack. Hang the hooks on the outer rail onto the slots on the rear of the rack. Secure the rear of the outer rail to the rear of the rack with screws.  Install the chassis into the rack by aligning rails Pull the middle rail out from the front of the outer rail. Make sure the ball-bearing shuttle is at the front locking position of the middle rail. Align the chassis inner rails with the front of the middle rails.  Mount the chassis into the rack. Technical Support http://www.imaginecommunications.com/services/technical-support.aspx Slide the inner rails on the chassis into the middle rails on the rack until the locking tab of the inner rail clicks into the front of the middle rail. Press the locking tabs down on both sides of the unit, and at the same time push the chassis all the way to the rear of the rack. Create USB Boot Drive The DALinux software supports installing DALinux from a USB flash drive. Please use the "Install Software" and "Install USB Flash" sub-option, which makes it possible to select the USB Drive as the source of installation. ① Download and install the YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Installer) this software is used for creating a USB drive containing DALinux. Download YUMI from http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multibootusb-creator/ ② Install YUMI following the on-screen instructions ③ Select your USB drive ④ Set the “We will FAT32 Format” check box Step 3. Booting From USB ⑤ Select the “Try an Unlisted ISO” from the list box To install DALinux from a USB disk the device controller boot sequence must be modified. ⑥Select the ISO DALlinux ISO image required To boot from USB ⑦Click “Create” ① During the boot sequence press F11, this allows boot device selection ② Select your USB device and press enter.
