Please read this manual carefully before putting the DA-14V-2 into operation. Please check the contents of the packaging carefully: - (1) DA-14V-2 unit - (1) User Manual - (1) Power Adapter 230 Volt/50Hz to 9 Volt AC - (1) 15pin HD VGA cable with male connectors, 1,5m long DA-14V-2 is a high resolution Computer Video Signal Distribution Amplifier. DA-14V-2 receives the graphic signals from a computer and provides 4 outputs towards external displays or projectors. Outputs can be boosted to reach the distance up to 50 Meter without losses.

2.0 Power Requirements DA-14V-2 is powered by the 9 Volt AC adapter equipped with the unit. The adapter must be fitted in a 220-240 Volt / 50 Hz Socket. Note: Units don't have adjustments or settings inside. Servicing must be made by qualified personnel.
3.0 Settings The ID bit (Identification bit) switch on the front panel is for enabling the graphic card of some notebooks. The BOOST switch on the front panel is for amplifing the output signals 1 - 4 for a longer cable run. Put the switch in ON position to enable the DA-14V-2 for cable lengths equal or greater than 30 Meter. The cable length can be up to 50 Meters (depending on the quality of the cable).

Be sure that all units to be installed are switched OFF. Connect the graphic out of your computer to the connector GRAPHIC IN of the DA-14V-2 unit by the cable included with the unit. Connect a local monitor to the out OUT1 (LOCAL). Connect the displays/projectors to the outputs OUT 2 – 4 or of the DA-14V-2 Power the unit as described in chapter 2.0 and check that the POWER LED on the front panel lights up. Check luminance and sharpness on the displays/projectors with some different images from the source. Set the BOOST switch either ON or OFF depending und the signals level. Note: The DA-14V-2 is cascadable. Use output OUT 1 (LOCAL) or one of the outputs 2-4 to feed the signal into the next unit, depending on the cable length between the units. You can also try to switch the Boost on or off for best signal quality.

6.0 Warranty, Service and Returns Policy This product is under warranty for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase. COMM-TEC’s liability and Buyer’s remedies under this warranty shall be limited solely to repair of the faulty units free of charge. This warranty does not apply if the product has been modified, repaired by an unauthorized agent, or improperly installed, used, or maintained. If a problem occurs first contact your dealer or COMM-TEC for trouble shooting. If verification of a problem requires factory repair, ask COMM-TEC’s Customer Equipment Service representative to issue a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number. Merchandise will not be accepted without a RMA number. When returning a product to COMM-TEC in Uhingen for repair please comply with the following instructions: • Shipping and insurance costs must be prepaid • Use original shipping container(s), (if possible) • Indicate the RMA number clearly on the outside of each container • Enclose a written description of the problem The under warranty repaired units will be returned Carriage Free to the sending party (dealer or consumer). Outside the warranty period, COMM-TEC will repair the faulty units, charging all arising expenses of the repair e.g. labor, parts, transportation and insurance, to the sending party (dealer or consumer).
