dcms sensors temperature Temperature monitoring is one of the fundamental topics in environmental monitoring in the data center and server rooms. Temperature monitoring can prevent overheating of the equipment located at the facility. Maintaining an adequate level of temperature and its active monitoring allows to provide normal operating conditions for devices and in addition allow to optimization of costs of electric energy.
humidity Humidity is as important parameter in the data center and server rooms as temperature. Maintaining proper humidity can prevent the occurrence of electrostatic charges (ESD) on the equipment in case of too little humidity and prevents condensation of humidity and creation of corrosion on components in case of too high humidity.

airflow Monitoring the airflow in the data center or server room allows an optimal configuration of air conditioning equipment and allows the correct placement of equipment with high demand for cooling. As a result, active monitoring of airflow in the data centers gives possibility for optimizing total cost of power energy used for cooling.
sound level Active monitoring of the level and the type of sound allows a quicker response to potential damage to the equipment. Most of the equipments signals failures or problems using audible signal or significantly increases the fans speed. Sensor of sound level detects those situations and presents them as an alert.

smoke detector Smoke detector allows to quickly find the source of smoke in the server room. Smoke detector is easy to install and setup and gives possibility to place the sensor in hard to reach places also close to potential source of danger.

IP network (cable, WiFi)
Shock sensor detects tampering, moving, deleting, or installation of equipment inside the racks. In addition, the shock sensors can detect shocks close to very sensitive equipments, such as disk arrays.

The main role of the dcms gateway is to transport information from the sensors network to ethernet network. dcms gateway also allows the configuration of the monitoring system using built-in dashboard and provides data to external systems.
Measuring the current flowing in power lines is one of the most important aspects of business continuity planning of data centers. Overload of power lines can cause interruption of proper functioning of data center. In most cases, the measurements are made in PDU equipment. On the other hand, the main electrical distribution provide information on the consumption of electricity in the whole building. The current sensor allows to non-invasive measurement of current in power supply lines, for example between the power section switchboards and PDUs.
leakage Flooding is probably the most well-known threat to the object data center and server room so monitoring fluid leaks is one of the most important aspects to keep in mind. The leakage may be caused by air conditioning system, leaking of the roof, gaping water pipes near server room. Leakage is often invisible because most server rooms have a raised floors, so properly installation of water detection sensor close to potential source of leakage is very important.
