PRODUCT OVERVIEW The OmniStar® GX2‐RSW1000B provides switching redundancy for forward or return path RF signals to increase the reliability of voice, video, and data transmission. With internal RF detection and adjustable thresholds on both inputs, the module can automatically switch to the secondary input when the signals on the primary input fall below an acceptable level. For bursty traffic, typically seen in return path applications, the module can automatically switch using the control signals from any OmniStar GX2 receiver. You can also manually switch between the primary input and the secondary input through one of the three communication interfaces available with the OmniStar GX2 platform. The compact, energy‐efficient design allows 16 plug and play modules to operate in the four rack‐unit OmniStar GX2 housing, minimizing valuable headend space. The hot‐swappable modules, with unique embedded features like Quick‐Swap module configuration, maximize in‐service time by eliminating the need for manual configuration.
