RoaDyn® P6xy TT System 2000 for Test Bench Applications The two-part universal adapter Type 9879A... consists of an outer part and an exchangeable inner part with specific rim hole pattern. The universal adapter is used in particular for tire and wheel roller test benches in combination with the measuring wheel RoaDyn P6xy System 2000. This allows "genuine" 6-component measurements with OEM and serial rims on the test bench. • Enables test bench measurements with measuring wheel RoaDyn P6xy System 2000 • 6-component measurements on tire and wheel roller test bench • Standard hole patterns for many OEM or serial rims • Customer specific hole patterns on request • For wheels with rim diameters from 13" and larger

Description The universal adapter Type 9879A... allows an application of the measuring wheel RoaDyn P6xy System 2000 normally used on a vehicle on a test bench. The forces Fx, Fy, Fz and moments Mx, My, Mz can be measured. Data transfer takes place by digital in-board transmission System 2000 consisting of rotor Type 5242A... and stator Type 5240A... . The two-part design of the universal adapter allows an easy exchange of the inner part with different standard hole patterns. On changing rims or wheels, the test bench sensor remains with the universal adapter on the test bench. The measuring wheels P6xy System 2000 Type 9296A1Q03 respectively Type 9298B1Q03 are described in detail in data sheet 9296A_000-543 and 9298B_000-544. Application In combination with RoaDyn P6xy System 2000: • Universal measurement instrument for laboratory and production tire testing machines • Measurement of radial, lateral tangential forces and overturning, steering, traction torques • Determination of tire characteristics such as nonuniformity, vibration measurements, etc.

Mounting The RoaDyn wheel force sensor is screwed to the outer part of the universal adapter. This combination is then mounted on the test bench adapter on the customer’s requirements. The exchangeable inner part with various rim hole patterns is then screwed to the outer part of the universal adapter from

the front, i.e. in the event of a change to other hole pattern combinations, only the inner part is exchanged. When rims are changed, the RoaDyn P650 TT wheel sensor remains with the universal adapter on the test bench.
