DATASHEET Coriant® mTera® Flexi-rate Interface Modules Powered by Coriant CloudWave™ Optics Service providers require solutions with greater flexibility to address continuously shifting traffic patterns and increased capacity demands to support bandwidth-hungry applications. Coriant addresses these needs with a module portfolio including a flexi-rate interface module and interface modules leveraging Coriant CloudWave™ Optics for the Coriant® mTera® Universal Transport Platform (UTP) including the 14slot chassis and the 8-slot chassis. The mTera® UTP provides the OSM-4F flexi-rate interface module and a set of interface modules including the OSM-4C (4x100), OSM4S (40x10G SFP+), and OSM-5C (5x100G CFP2-ACO). The flexi-rate interface module and the interface modules support tunable modulation, flexible channel spectral width, flexible frequency tunability, high capacities, and high densities to provide the ideal balance between performance, capacity, and reliability across the most challenging networks. OPTIMIZE NETWORKS WITH INTEGRATED LONG HAUL OPTICAL PERFORMANCE AND HIGHER CAPACITY WAVELENGTHS Equipped with two flexible physical interfaces, the OSM-4F flexi-rate interface module supports tunability between 2x100G QPSK, 2x150G 8QAM, and 2x200G 16QAM for up to 400G of line capacity. The gridless tunable technology of the mTera® flexi-grid interface, joined with the Coriant® hiT 7300 Multi-Haul Transport Platform flexi-grid infrastructure, supports channel grids that are optimized for either highest reach or highest fiber capacity. The flexi-rate interface module and the interface modules can be deployed in any hiT 7300 network, ensuring access to this advanced technology in existing infrastructure. The flexi-rate module is designed with state-of-the-art line coding that enables optimum optical reach in nationwide networks, maximizes throughput in metro/ regional networks, and provides maximum ROADM cascades in metro/regional networks, while enabling interoperability with 100G interfaces in the Coriant® 7100 Packet Optical Transport Platform, hiT 7300, and the Coriant Groove™ G30 DCI Platform. For long haul applications, Coriant uses advanced algorithms to mitigate nonlinear impairments and also increases the margins on the optical and electrical analog components by employing pre- and post-emphasis algorithms. The result is a solution that supports an unregenerated optical reach for 100G of >5000 km in terrestrial networks and dynamic tunability for up to 400G with an optical performance of >1000 km. With up to 500G interface capacity per slot, the flexi-rate interface module enables up to 7T switching in a single mTera® shelf and up to 12T in a dual-shelf configuration. Interfaces range from 10G clients and DWDM through 100G ULH and 200G 16QAM, while supporting a wide range of high capacity applications. All of these interfaces come with the universal switching capabilities inherent to the mTera® 14-slot shelf and the 8-slot shelf. OTN, Ethernet, MPLS-TP, and optical networks work seamlessly together to create and manage the most demanding services. EXPERIENCE THE FLEXIBILITY OF CORIANT CLOUDWAVE™ OPTICS With Coriant CloudWave™ Optics, the OSM-4F flexi-rate interface module offers a high level of flexibility in optical transmissions. Using this technology, the line rate can be dynamically adjusted between 100G, 200G, 300G, and 400G, based on the required optical performance.
