Description TheDD02-999LFdirectionaldetectorisdesignedtooperatefrom 650MHzto3GHz.Itcontainsahigh-directivitydirectional coupler,thecoupledarmofwhichdrivesaGaAsSchottky detectordiode.ItalsocontainsanidenticalGaAsSchottkydiode usedfortemperaturecompensation.Thispartispackagedinthe miniatureSC-88package.TheDD02-999LFispackagedinthe lead(Pb)-freeSC-88packageandisfullycompliantwithcurrent RoHSrequirements. TheDD02-999LFprovidesdetectionoftheinputsignalamplitude only,byvirtueofthedirectivityoftheon-chipdirectionalcoupler.Thesensitivityofthedetectordiodeisimprovedthrough theapplicationofanexternal5µA(nominal)forwardbiascurrent producedbyanexternal1V(nominal)voltagesource.Thisbias currentisalsoappliedtothetemperaturecompensationdiode. Temperaturecompensationofthedetectedoutputvoltagecanbe accomplishedbysubtractingtheoutputvoltagefromthetemperaturecompensationSchottkydiode,whichisthermallycoupled tothedetectorSchottkydiodeviatheircommonsubstrate,from thedetectedoutputvoltage. Thispartisratedtooperatefrom-40°Cto85°C. Anevaluationboardisavailableuponrequest.
