Power Distribution Unit, indoor, 6 channels, automatic current sensing
Product Description The PDU-6A power distribution unit (PDU) from RFS can be used with single or dual Tower Mounted Amplifiers (TMAs). It powers up to six TMAs through the bias-T. Its intelligent self-learning current ability allows multiple TMAs with different current draws to be automatically powered, without complex adjustments at the site. Upon a manual reset of the front panel switch the PDU measures the current flow in each of the DC output channels. Once a DC output channel is enabled the normal operating current is saved and if a significant change in operating current (±30mA) is detected on any channel of the PDU an alarm state is raised. The PDU displays individual TMA monitoring status via 6 LEDs located on the front panel (1 per channel). The PDU-6A is extremely compact and lightweight, and allows for easy installation in a standard 19” rack. Additionally, its superior design ensures maximum reliability in the most extreme environmental conditions. The following cables are included with the units: Power supply cable, alarm cable,and grounding cable. A DC-injection cable can be purchased separately.
