THS4086 OVERVIEW: The Trenton THS4086 is a 4U rackmount computer ideal for high density embedded computing applications in diverse markets such as military and government, industrial automation, network data storage, communications, video capture and control, energy exploration, and GPU computing. The system supports HDEC Series® system host boards and backplanes including the dual-processor HEP8225 SHB and the HDB8228 midsize format backplane. Trenton’s HEP8225 features two Intel Xeon E5-2600 processors; formally known as Haswell-EP, and delivers 80 lanes of native PCI Express 3.0 links to an HDEC Series backplane. The HDB8228 backplane utilizes this expanded PCIe link capability to directly support eight PCI Express cards while providing faster data throughput with minimum data latency due to the backplane’s switchless design. The THS4086 features four front access drive bays that support either four 3.5” or up to eight 2.5” removable and hot swap storage drives. The system’s front panel also includes a Slim-line optical media bay, two USB ports, diagnostic LEDs, power and system reset switches. The THS4086 comes with built-in fan speed control for maximum cooling efficiency. High-capacity system cooling fans used in the THS4086 are front access/hot swap fans with a unique tool-less design for easy maintenance. I/O CARD SLOT LIGHTING
A rear LED light bar mounted above the I/O card slots makes it easy to ensure that the correct cable is connected to the correct card inside a darken component rack enclosure. The LED light bar can be turned on and off via the rear mounted light bar switch.
