It is particularly designed to meet requirements of rolling stock and automotive applications. The device can host up to two LTE, GSMR or WLAN radios providing broadband routing functionality between the local Ethernet and different wireless media, on board a passenger train, a long distance bus, or a large industrial machine for example. The built-in fully configurable firewall ensures communication security. The CyBox LTE-W is capable of hosting two independent radio modules, allowing operation of flexible wireless network configurations, including LTE / HSDPA+ / GSM / GPRS / EDGE / EV-DO, GSMR or IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n compliant WLAN interfaces. LTE provides a maximum of 100 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload rate on each interface. For each LTE/GSM radio the CyBox LTE-W can be equipped with up to four different SIM cards to enable least cost routing in international traffic. On the fixed network side, the access point features two 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports with auto-negotiation and TX-crossover. The ports are internally connected to an unmanaged switch and can be used either for redundancy to increase the availability of service, or to connect a second CyBox LTE-W. The switch works independently from the access point CPU, so that internal failures do not influence the packet forwarding between the two Ethernet ports. The CyBox LTE-W can optionally be equipped with a GNSS interface supporting GPS, GLONASS and Galileo positioning systems. The CyBox LTE-W provides very flexible powering options. It can be supplied by a local 24 to 110 VDC power source; the power input is fully EN 50155 compliant and tolerates an input voltage range from 12 to 154 V. The CyBox LTE-W tolerates power interruptions up to 10 ms, making it compliant to EN 50155, Class S2. As a second source of supply the CyBox LTE-W provides an IEEE802.3af compliant PoE input for Class 3 powered device mode. Its capability to supply power to a second CyBox LTE-W, if it is connected to the downlink port is a unique feature. This setup allows providing wireless connectivity with two access points using just one CAT-X cable; a noticeable cost saving factor especially in retrofit programs. The robust IP30 housing can be deployed in industrial and mobile environments; it does not require forced air cooling in temperature ranges between -40 and +70 °C (EN 50155, Class TX) and has no maintainable parts inside. The CyBox LTE-W is especially suited for use in rugged environments with regard to shock and vibration according to applicable DIN, EN or IEC industry standards. Its electrical and mechanical robustness is supported by industry standard M12 connectors for Ethernet, and SMA or QMA connectors for the RF interfaces. The CyBox LTE-W firmware provides a comfortable management interface through http service. Besides global setup parameters the software allows complete configuration of the LTE/GSM interfaces, such as provider information, login dialog editing, and firewall setup. The router configuration can be up- and downloaded and the complete management firmware can be upgraded. cybox lte-w 3 Block Diagram 3 Technical Data LTE Interfaces Technology Physical Interfaces Bands Diversity Antenna 2 x 2 SMA (QMA) connectors 1 x SMA (QMA) connector for GNSS Yes (MIMO) LAN 10/100/1000BaseT(X) uplink port, M12 X-coded 10/100/1000BaseT(X) downlink port, M12 X-coded Band 1 (2100 MHz) Console Port RS232 available on Phoenix connector Band 2 (1900 MHz) Digital Input 2 opto-isolated inputs, available on Phoenix connector state “0”: -12 V ≤ VIN ≤ +3 V (±5 %) State “1”: +12 V ≤ VIN ≤ +32 V (±5 %) maximum input current: 20 mA Digital Output 1 relay output, 1 A @ 32 V, available on Phoenix connector Power Input 24 to 110 V VDC local supply on Phoenix connector LED Indicators Power, Fault, LAN 1, LAN 2, WLAN 1, WLAN 2 Reset Switch Available on the front cover (access protected) Band 1 (2100 MHz) LTE Band 4 (AWS) (1700/2100 MHz) Band 17 (700 MHz) UMTS (WCDMA) HSDPA HSUPA HSPA+ DC-HSPA+ GSM GPRS EDGE Band 5 (850 MHz) Band 6 (800 MHz) GSM 850 (850 MHz) GSM 900 (900 MHz) DCS 1800 (1800 MHz) Standards GPS (L1) GLONASS (L1, FDMA) Galileo (E1) Protocol Standards NMEA RTCM 104 Accuracy: 1.5 m Performance No PCS 1900 (1900 MHz) GNSS Interface Frequency Band Yes Time-to-first-fix: cold start < 35 s Warm start/aided start: 1 s 1 1 1 1 1 IEEE 802.3 for 10BaseT IEEE802.3u 100BaseTX and 100Base FX IEEE 802.3ab for 1000BaseT IEEE 802.3at for Power-over-Ethernet IEEE 802.3af IEEE 802.1Q VLAN cybox lte-w 3 Specifications e en 50155 Mechanical Specifications Dimensions: 105 mm x 54.12 mm x 164 mm Weight: 1100 g Aluminium IP30 housing, prepared for wall-mounting compliant Electrical Specifications Supply voltage for local supply: 24 to 110 VDC nominal (12 to 154 V max.), compliant to EN 50155 (Class S2 optionally), or PoE Class 3 powered device according to IEEE 802.3af Power consumption: 8 W typ., 12 W max.
