To reduce electric shock, risk of fire or injury, please read the operating instructions carefully before using the dehumidifier for the first time and keep them for future reference. Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Never operate the appliance if any cable or part has been damaged or malfunction. Electrical appliance is only to be repaired by qualified personal, improper repair work can be a source of considerable danger to the appliance. Children and infirm person are not aware of the hazards of electric appliance. Therefore, never allow them to operate the appliance unless properly supervised. Please turn off and unplug the dehumidifier before cleaning, maintenance or relocation, and whenever it is not in use. This unit is for household use only and please use suitable voltage and frequency (220-240V~/50Hz). Do not place any objects on the appliance. Please put the power cord in the right place in order to avoid tripping the unit over. To prevent spillage, empty the water tank before relocating the appliance. Do not tip the appliance to any side as escaping water could damage the appliance. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. When the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. The device should be installed at minimum distant of 10cm from the wall or other obstacle. Do not put any wet or dripping water cloths on top of dehumidifier. Do not block air inlet and outlet when operation to avoid causing a risk of fire. Do not use bug sprays or other flammable cleaners to the unit and keep away from any fire and heat sources. Note: To avoid any malfunction or damage, do not tilt or crossing place the unit under any operation. Please turn off the appliance and unplug the socket when unattended otherwise it may result in danger. 1. CONTROL PANEL Defrost Indicator Water Tank Full Indicator Humidity Setting Display Function Button Function Display Power Indicator MODE High Medium FDH 2813 Low AUTO HUMIDITY CONTROL Timer Indicator Continuous Operation Button Current Humidity Display Timer Button ON/OFF Button OPERATION INSTRUCTION Remarks *In order to keep a good air circulation and maximize energy efficiency, please adjust air outlet louvre to 60o before start *Be sure of correct voltage (220-240V, 50Hz) is used and plug is well plugged. You can adjust the mode according to the actual situation, press “MODE” button to switch to other function: FUZZY LO HI AIR CLEAN 1. Press “ON/OFF” button to start the unit and the power LED lights turn on. FUZZY mode is set as below situation: MODE High Medium Low 3. Unit operates at “FUZZY” mode or low level according to the actual humidity environment. The unit operates at “FUZZY” mode when humidity is over 55%. Compressor will turn on in 3 minutes after the “ON/OFF” button is pressed (Compressor starts once the plug plugged in the socket after 3 minutes). If the humidity is less than 50%, unit will turn to operate in air clean mode and the compressor is off. 2. Unit operates continuously at ”LO” speed at low noise level with compressor turns on until water tank full or Power button is pressed for off when the humidity is more than 60%. Once the humidity is less than 55%, unit will turn to operate at Air Clean mode. LCD shows as below: MODE High Medium Low 3. Unit operates continuously at ”HI” speed with compressor turns on until water tank full or Power button is pressed for off when the humidity is more than 45%. Once the humidity is less than 40%, unit will turn to operate at Air Clean mode. LCD shows as below: MODE High Medium Low 4. Select “Air Clean” mode, unit operates at low fan speed and compressor turns off. LCD shows as below: MODE High Medium Low 5. Select “CONT” mode, unit operates continuously at high speed with compressor turns on until water tank is full or Power button is pressed for off. LCD shows as below: MODE High Medium Low 4. There are 3 grids on the left hand side of the LCD. The grids reflect the actual humidity situations: a. 3 grids are light means the humidity is more than 65%. b. 2 grids are light means the humidity is between 55%-65% c. 1 grid is light means the humidity is under 55% *There is some error between the sensor of the unit and the general commercial hygrometer. 6. Press “Timer” button to set the desired timer (1~9 hour). PRECAUTIONS 1. The dehumidifier shall not operate if the humidity setting is higher than the ambient humidity. 2. Drain the water when the water tank is full or the water tank full indicator illuminates. And then install the empty water tank back to its position, so the unit can continue its operation. 3. After power is off, you shall keep waiting for 3 minutes before you re-operate the unit to protect the compressor. 4. The operational temperature range of this unit is 5-35oC. 5. If the dehumidifier does not start (the power indicator does not illuminate) or the dehumidifier makes intermediate stop on unknown reasons, please check the plug and the power supply for poor connection. 6. If the plug and power supply are in normal condition, the dehumidifier still does not start, please wait for 10 minutes and restart the unit (because it takes about 10 minutes to reposition). If the unit still does not start after 10 minutes, please contact your service agent for repair. 7. When the dehumidifier is in operation, the running compressor will get hot and increase the room temperature. This is the normal condition. 8. The built-in defrosting sensor detects room temperature and will cease the operation of the compressor for about 10 minutes when room temperature is below 15oC. Defrost signal lights up when the unit is in the function of defrosting. 5. DRAINAGE INSTRUCTION The water tank full indicator will be turned on when water full, compressor and fan will stop operation, please empty the water. Note: Disconnect the unit from power source before empty the water tank. 1. Remove water tank from the unit carefully. 2. Empty the water tank 3. Insert the water tank gently into the unit till reach its original position. CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE 1. Make drain hose hole At the rear right side of the unit, cut out the hose hole (Fig.1). 2. Connect water hose to drain port (Fig. 2) *please buy a PVC hose with 13~15mm diameter for continuous drainage. 3. Connect drain port to drain hose hole (Fig. 3) 4. Replace the water tank into the unit, then you can operate the function (Fig. 4). Fig. 1 Fig. 2 Fig.3 Fig. 4 6. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTION *Disconnect the unit from the power source before cleaning. Cleaning the air filter Remove the filter and clean it with vacuum cleaner or warm water (below 40oC) every 2 week. 1. Remove air inlet cover. 2. Remove air filter from the air inlet cover. 3. Clean the air filter with vacuum cleaner or warm water (below 40oC) every 2 week, and let it become to dry naturally then replace. When washing filter, please put the side (which accumulated dust) face down. When using vacuum cleaner to clean the dust, please put the side (which accumulated dust) face up. 4. Insert the air filter gently into the unit till reach its original position. *Remarks: Please do not use water over 40oC to clean the filter or expose it under the sunlight to avoid deforming the filter. In order to avoid the dust flow into the unit which will cause failure, please install the filter to the original position. Cleaning the body 1. Use soft cloth to wipe the unit clean. 2. Do not ever use volatile chemicals, gasoline, detergents, chemically treated cloths, or other cleansing solutions. All these could possibly hurt the cabinet. Storage If the unit is not used for a prolonged period of time, please: 1. Completely empty the water tank and wipe it clean and dry. 2. Turning the unit off, unplug and tidy power cord. 3. Clean the air filter. 4. Cover the unit and store where it will not receive direct sunlight and humidity area. Note: To avoid any malfunction or damage, do not tilt or crossing place the unit when storage. 7.
