Introduction The DeltaCam allows several files to be updated: ● Firmware ● CAID table ● RSA-Box keys ● Emu keys To do so, the DeltaFlashLoader is required. This utility is available for Windows, Mac and Linux computers: DeltaFlashLoader for Windows DeltaFlashLoader for Mac OSX DeltaFlashLoader for Linux (GUI) DeltaFlashLoader for Linux (CLI)
Flashing files with the RS-232 Serial Programmer Required Equipment
A … PCMCIA power adapter B … RS-232 serial adapter C … Serial RS-232 cable (DB9 null modem with two female connectors) D … USB cable (Type A and Type B connectors) (2x)
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Insert the DeltaCam into the PCMCIA power adapter’s (A) slot
2. Insert the RS-232 Serial adapter (B) into the SmartCard slot of the DeltaCam
3. Connect one side of the serial cable (C) to the COM port of the PC 4. Connect the other side of the serial cable (C) to the serial adapter’s (B) RS-232 port
5. Connect the type A side of the first USB cable (D) to the USB port of the PC
6. Connect the type B side of the first USB cable (D) to the serial adapter’s (B) USB port
7. Open the DeltaFlashLoader utility on the PC
8. Select the COM port where the serial cable (resp. the serial adapter) has previously been connected to 9. Select the file type (either "Firmware", "RSA-Box Keys", "CA IDs list" or “Emu keys”) and then browse to the actual file that is supposed to be flashed to the DeltaCam
10. The message "Waiting CAM connection…" appears
11. Connect the type A side of the USB cable nr. 2 (D) to one of the PC’s USB ports. 12. Connect the type B side of the USB cable nr. 2 (D) to the PCMCIA power adapter’s (A) USB port
13. The DeltaFlashLoader will automatically start to flash the DeltaCam
14. Once the flashing process has completed, the message “Flashing successfully completed” will appear
15. It is now safe to remove the PCMCIA power and serial adapters from the DeltaCam

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Insert the DeltaCam into the PCMCIA power adapter’s (A) slot (verify that the switch is turned off resp. at position ‘O’)
2. Insert the serial USB adapter (B) into the SmartCard slot of the DeltaCam
3. Connect the type A side of the USB cable(s) (C) to USB port(s) of the PC
For cables with only one type A plug and two type B plugs, only connect the one type A plug to the USB port of the PC.
4. Connect the type B side of the USB cable(s) (C) to the PCMCIA power and USB serial adapter’s USB connectors.
5. Open the DeltaFlashLoader utility on the PC
6. Select the (virtual) COM port that has previously been installed for the USB serial adapter 7. Select the file type (either "Firmware", "RSA-Box Keys", "CA IDs list" or “Emu keys”) and then browse to the actual file that is supposed to be flashed to the DeltaCam
8. The message "Waiting CAM connection…" appears
9. Turn on power by pressing the switch on the PCMCIA power adapter (A)
10. The DeltaFlashLoader will automatically start to flash the DeltaCam
11. Once the flashing process has completed, the message “Flashing successfully completed” will appear
12. It is now safe to remove the PCMCIA power and USB serial adapters from the DeltaCam
