Deluxe Electronic Body Weight Scale Instruction Manual Model No.: PEB-215N Important!   This Body Weight Scale (PEB-215N) will provide accurate body weight readings for you. This Body Weight Scale is made for normal home use only; it is not designed for use in commercial or medical fields.  Reset the scale – You may be able to reset the scale simply by removing and re-inserting the battery. Always turn on (Tap and Press on the glass platform) the scale first and wait for the display “0.0” (Fig. 4) before stepping onto the glass platform.  IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: When using this Body Weight Scale (PEB-215N), please observe the following basic precautions. 1. User must read and understand this manual prior to the using this product. Use as described in this manual. 2. Do not step onto the scale with wet feet or when the glass platform is damp or wet. Personal Injury Risk! 3. Protect the scale against moisture, dust, chemical, impacts, extreme temperature fluctuations and keep it away from heat sources (heaters, ovens and etc.,). 4. Do not use the scale on Carpet or Rug. 5. Place the scale on NON-SKID hard, dry and smooth floor/surface. 6. Do not place the scale on a wet surface. Personal Injury Risk! 7. Always put the scale on the exact same smooth and hard floor/surface to ensure the accuracy of the user’s body weight readings. 8. The scale may tilt when you step on it. You should place your left foot or right foot on the glass platform at least one inch from the edge of the glass platform. Once the position is secured and safe, place the other foot onto the scale. 9. Center your body weight toward the mid section of the scale before stepping on / off the scale. Otherwise, the scale may tilt. Personal Injury Risk! 10. Follow all labels and marking instructions on your scale. 11. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use the scale outdoors. 12. Do not use in area where dangerous items are stored. 13. Do not continue to use this scale if it appears to be malfunctioning. 14. Always dry your feet before using scale. Personal Injury Risk! 15. Do not use this scale if it appears to be uneven, cracked or broken. 16. Do not use this scale if cracks or chips appeared on glass platform. Personal Injury Risk! 17. If unit is not working, has been damaged, dropped, left out-door, or dropped into water, bring it to a licensed electrician or shop for service and repair. 18. Do not disassemble the scale. There are no serviceable parts inside the scale. 19. Never jump on, or jump off the scale. Personal Injury Risk! 20. Observe the battery precautions and battery disposal instructions listed in this manual 21. Do not remove the battery from the scale, other than replacing the battery, or for storing the scale. The readings may very between this scale and other methods of measurement. The changing in body weight shown by this Electronic Scale will be reflected precisely. If you can, please weigh yourself at the same time of the day (ideally in the morning or before going to bed), on an empty stomach, and without clothing to achieve precise body weight readings. Place your scale on the same hard, dry and flat surface for better performance. Errors Indicator:  “ERR” or “ERR1” indicated a damaged or malfunctioning load cell.  “FFFF” indicates the weight has exceeded approx. 398.8 Lbs (180.9 kgs). Page: 2 How to measure your Body Weight: 1. 2. 3. Select (lb / in) or (kg / cm) or (st). The Switch is located at the bottom of the scale, on the backside of the L.C.D. Display (see Fig. 1 – Item #6). (Example: turn switch to lb / in) Place the scale on a smooth, firm, flat surface to achieve the precise accuracy. (do not use the scale on Carpet or Rug). Turn-on the scale by tapping on the center of the glass platform. (This unit uses a Tap and Press system to “Turn On” the unit. If the unit won’t turn on after Tap and Press of the glass platform, please Tap and Press again with a little more pressure on the glass platform. Otherwise, please check and clean the battery and battery terminal contact plates). (Fig. 3) 4. The 8888 lb will show on the LCD Display (see above Fig. 3). And, within seconds the L.C.D. Display will change to a zero reading -“ready to use mode”. (See Fig. 4) (Fig. 4) Ready to use mode 5. Step onto the glass platform carefully and stand still to measure your body weight. When the scale is complete weighing your body your weight will be displayed on the L.C.D. (See Fig. 5) Example 6. (Fig. 5) The scale will shut off in 10 seconds (approx) by itself after the weight reading is shown on the LCD Display. Important:  Do not remove the (3) screws on the Components and Parts Holder at the bottom of the scale (see Fig. 1. Item # 5 on Page 2)  Battery Compartment Cover Screw – It is a safety feature to lock the battery in place securely (see Fig. 1. Item # 7 on Page 2) The battery poses a choking hazard and is extremely dangerous for children to swallow. Personal Injury Risk! Replace the battery when Low Battery Warning “Lo” is displayed. 2. Remove battery if the product is to be stored for a long time. 3. Dangerous! Keep battery away from Children Battery Installation The Electronic Scale uses 1 piece 3-Volt Lithium (CR 2032) Cell. Replace the battery when Low Battery Warning “Lo” is displayed. BATTERY MAY EPLODE OR LEAK” Warning: When trashing the battery - The battery must be separated from the regular household trash. Please consult with your local authorities for battery disposal instructions. Battery – First-Aid: Battery may leaks in extreme weather and conditions. If leaks get on skin and eyes, flush area with cold water and seek medical attention immediately. Note:  Coffee, beer, wine, alcohol, and diuretic medications or workouts all affect your level of hydration and the accuracy of this Scale. Please wait a few hours before taking a body weight reading.  Place your unit on the same hard, dry and smooth and flat surface for better performance. Important Note:   This is a high precision electronic scale. Please handle the unit with care. Do not drop or throw the unit on floor or immerse the scale into water. The scale will shut off in 10 seconds after the reading of your weight is shown on the  LCD Display. Low Battery Warning – when voltage of battery is down to approx. 2.5V, the “Lo” low  battery warning will come on. Replace battery. Do not place the scale under direct sunlight, high temperature or high humidity areas.    Do not place any items or objects on the glass platform of the scale for any reasons. It is used for body weight readings only. Clean the outside of the scale with a damp cloth only. Do not use chemical cleaning agents or immerse the unit into water. Do not saturate the scale with water as it may damage the electronic components. Remove the battery is the scale is to be stored for a long time. Errors Indicator: Overloading: If the weight exceeds 398.8 lbs, the screen will display “FFFF”. Low Battery - Low voltage alert: Change the battery immediately.
