However, the method of connecting and operating the unit is the same. Please set it to the correct voltage for your country or region. • For Taiwan, please set to 110 V before using. Before changing the voltage, disconnect the AC power cord. The voltage of the available power supply differs according to country or region. Be sure that the power supply voltage of the area where this unit will be used meets the required voltage (e.g., 230V D3-4-2-1-4_En or 120V) written on the rear panel. This function receives preset stations within a class (A, B or C) in order, letting you select a desired station while checking what program the station is broadcasting. 7 Random 30-station presetting A total of 30 FM and AM stations can be preset into the memory circuit. 7 Manual station name memory Using up to 4 characters, you can store a name of your choice for preset FM/AM broadcast stations 1 to 30. 7 Energy-saving design This unit is designed to use minimal electricity when power is switched OFF (during Standby). Regarding the value of the power consumption in standby mode, refer to “SPECIFICATIONS” on page 17. CHECKING THE ACCESSORIES AM loop antenna FM T-type antenna Audio cord Control cord 3 En INSTALLATION CHANNEL STEP SETTING Before using the unit for the first time, be sure to set the correct channel step (FM and AM) for your area. If the channel step setting is incorrect, tuning to the correct frequency will not be possible, and poor sound quality due to distortion and noise will prevent reproduction of the received signal. FM 100 kHz, AM 10 kHz: Set to this position for areas with an FM reception step of 100 kHz and AM 10 kHz. FM 50 kHz, AM 9 kHz: Set to this position, for areas with an FM reception step of 50 kHz and AM 9 kHz. NOTE: When unsure about the channel allocation for your area, consult your dealer for correct information. To change channel steps Setting the FM channel step to 100kHz and the AM channel step to 10kHz: When power is in standby, press the STANDBY/ON switch while pressing STATION CALL button 0/10 to switch power ON. Setting the FM channel step to 50kHz and the AM channel step to 9kHz: When power is in standby, press the STANDBY/ON switch while pressing STATION CALL button 9 to switch power ON. LOCATION Install the tuner in a well-ventilated location where it will not be exposed to high temperatures or humidity. Do not install the tuner in a location which is exposed to direct rays of the sun, or near hot appliances or radiators. Excessive heat can adversely affect the cabinet and internal components. Installation of the tuner in a damp or dusty environment may result in a malfunction or accident. (Also avoid installation near cookers, etc., where the tuner may be exposed to smoke, steam, or heat.) CONDENSATION When this unit is brought into a warm room from previously cold surroundings or when the room temperature rises sharply,condensation may from inside,and the unit may not be able to attain its full performance. In this case, allow the unit to stand for about an hour or raise the room temperature gradually. POWER-CORD CAUTION Handle the power cord by the plug. Do not pull out the plug by tugging the cord and never touch the power cord when your hands are wet as this could cause a short circuit or electric shock. Do not place the unit, a piece of furniture, etc., on the power cord, or pinch the cord. Never make a knot in the cord or tie it with other cords. The power cords should be routed such that they are not likely to be stepped on. A damaged power cord can cause fire or give you an electrical shock. Check the power cord once in a while. When you find it damaged, ask your nearest PIONEER authorized service center or your dealer for a replacement. Maintenance of external surfaces ¶ Use a polishing cloth or dry cloth to wipe off dust and dirt. ¶ When the surfaces are very dirty, wipe with a soft cloth dipped in some neutral cleanser diluted five or six times with water, and wrung out well, and then wipe again with a dry cloth. Do not use furniture wax or cleaners. ¶ Never use thinners, benzine, insecticide sprays or other chemicals on or near this unit, since these will corrode the surfaces. 4 En CONNECTIONS Before making or changing the connections, switch off the power switch and disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet. Pin plug connecting cord ¶ Connect the white plug to the white terminal (L) and the red plug to the red terminal (R). ¶ Make sure that the connections are secure. 15 mm 1. Left channel White plug CONTROL terminals When using together with a Pioneer component bearing the Î mark, connect the CONTROL IN terminal on the rear panel of the tuner to the CONTROL OUT terminal on the component using the supplied control cord. This will enable the tuner to be controlled from a distance with the remote control unit supplied with the component. When this feature is not used, connection is not necessary. ¶ For instructions regarding connection and operation, please refer to the operating instructions of your stereo component. It is not a safety earth. CAUTION: Never make the ground connection to a gas pipe as sparks can cause the gas ignite. 5 En CONNECTIONS ANTENNA CONNECTIONS Radio reception is not possible unless the antenna is properly connected. The strength of broadcast signals varies from one area to another. Signal propagation is especially poor in metropolitan areas, where there are many tall buildings, and also in mountainous areas. Proper antenna installation is vital to good reception. AM ANTENNA Outdoor AM antenna If reception is still poor even when a lead antenna has been stretched out indoors, stretch out a vinyl-coated wire and secure it outdoors. Connecting the external AM antenna Outdoor AM antenna Indoor AM antenna AM loop antenna The AM loop antenna supplied with the tuner should be connected to the AM antenna terminals. The antenna should be placed at a distance from the tuner, and should not be allowed to touch metallic objects. Avoid placing it near CD players, personal computers, television sets, and other devices generating radio frequencies. NOTE: Setting up the AM loop antenna Do not detach the AM loop antenna when using an external AM antenna. ¶ Insert the clip on the bottom of the antenna into the groove on the leg. ¶ Place the antenna on a level surface and rotate it to locate the orientation that yields the best reception. ¶ To permanently affix the antenna,screw the leg to a wall or post before assembling (affixing the antenna in the direction that gives the best reception). Stretch the antenna out to its full length, and affix it to a wall, etc. The accessory FM T-type antenna must be connected to ensure proper reception. Outdoor external FM antenna installation Use an external antenna when the signals from the station are weak and cannot be picked up by the accessory T-type FM antenna, or when the sound heard is accompanied by too much noise. Turn the DIRECT STANDBY/ON switch ON. 2. Select the desired band with the BAND button. 3. Press the DIRECT button. 4. Input the desired station frequency using the STATION CALL buttons. 6 To cancel frequency input 0/10 STEREO TUNED Direct access is canceled when the DIRECT button is pressed again. Under the following conditions, direct access is canceled and the unit returns to the condition in effect before direct access was selected: 1 If there is no key input for approximately five seconds after the DIRECT button is pressed. 2 If more than approximately five seconds elapse between number inputs. NOTES: ¶ Always input the frequency to the last digit. ¶ After performing DIRECT ACCESS and inputting the frequency, any discrepancy is corrected (for example, FM 100.01 MHz = FM 100.00 MHz), so the MEMORY button does not immediately function after the final digit has been input. To memorize a station frequency, first confirm that “MEMORY” is lit on the display before pressing the STATION CALL button. 11 En PRESETTING STATIONS NOTES: PRESET STATIONS 10 stations can be preset in each of the 3 classes, for a total of 30 station presets. MPX MODE 2 3 RF ATT ¶ You can also store MPX MODE and RF ATT settings in memory. ¶ If a station is memorized with the STATION CALL buttons at a position where a station is already memorized, the previous contents are erased and the new data is stored in memory. ¶ If preset stations get erased, repeat the preset procedures from the beginning. 4 1. Tune in the desired station. For details concerning tuning, refer to “BASIC TUNING OPERATIONS” on P.10 and 11. 2. Press the MEMORY button. ¶ The MEMORY indicator will light for several seconds. ¶ Memory storage is not possible once the indicator goes off. In this case, press the MEMORY button again. ¶ If the button is pressed again while the indicator is lit up, the memory function will be canceled. Presetting an FM 106.00 MHz station into Class C with station no. (CH) 5. 2. MEMORY 3. CLASS 3. Select the desired class (A to C) with the CLASS button. 4. While the MEMORY indicator is lit, press the desired STATION CALL button. Pressing a STATION CALL button causes the MEMORY indicator to go out and the station to be preset. A station is preset (memorized) a few seconds after pressing the STATION CALL button. 5. Repeat procedure 1 to 4 to memorize other stations. 12 En 4. 5 PRESETTING STATIONS PRESET STATION TUNING 1 MEMORY SCAN This function receives preset stations within a class (A, B or C) in order. While checking programs received, you can select the desired station. 2 1 2 3 1. Select the class number with the CLASS button. 1. Press the CLASS button. Select the class you want to scan (A through C). 2. Press the STATION CALL button to select the desired preset. NOTES: ¶ The contents of preset memory will be retained for several days, even if the tuner’s power cord is unplugged. ¶ If a preset station has been erased, preset it again. 2. Press the MEMORY SCAN button. Scan starts. Each station is received for about 5 seconds. 3. When you find a desired station, press any button on the main unit (except the STANDBY/ON switch). 13 En PRESETTING STATIONS MANUAL STATION NAME MEMORY Using up to 4 characters, you can store a name of your choice for preset FM/AM broadcast stations 1 to 30. 1 3 4 2 4 2 1. Turn the STANDBY/ON switch ON. NOTES: ¶ If you perform no operations within about 5 seconds after “INPUT” is displayed, the display returns to frequency indications. ¶ Even if the station name contains less than four characters,always input a space and repeat steps 4 1 and 4 2. ¶ When you want to change a memorized station name, after selecting a desired broadcast station, register the new name using steps 2 to 4. ¶ For greater convenience, record memorized station names in the STATION CALL button “memo” on the next page . Inputting WEST as a station name in class B, station 1ch. 2. CLASS 2. Select the desired broadcast stations with the CLASS button and STATION CALL button. 3. Press the CHARACTER button once to 1 select the station name input mode. ”INPUT” lights in the display, and the mode switches to manual memory. 4. While “INPUT” is displayed, turn the TUNING knob clockwise or counterclockwise to input a desired character. Enter characters in the following way: 1 The first character in the display changes while you turn the TUNING knob (see page 15). Select a character as desired. 2 When you have selected your desired character, press the MEMORY button. This enters the first character and awaits input of the next character for memorization. Repeat this procedure until all four characters have been entered. 14 En 3. CHARACTER 4. 1 2 TUNING MEMORY PRESETTING STATIONS When erasing a memorized station name, use the following procedure. 1 Perform the steps 1 to 3 of "Manual Station Name Memory". 2 While "INPUT" is displayed,turn the TUNING knob clockwise or counterclockwise to display a space. 3 Press the MEMORY button.(One space is input.) 4 Repeat the step 3 three more times to input four space. (The space lies between "@" and "A".) If you think that there is something wrong with this component, check the points below. Sometimes the trouble may lie in another component. Investigate the other components and electrical appliances being used. If the trouble cannot be rectified even after exercising the checks listed below, ask your nearest PIONEER authorized service center or your dealer to carry out repair work. Symptom Cause Remedy No power ¶ Has the power cord been disconnected? ¶ Reconnect the power cord. No sound ¶ Have any of the output cords been disconnected or incorrectly connected? ¶ Has the antenna been disconnected or are the connections loose? ¶ Was the power cord unplugged for several days (preset station has been lost?) ¶ Are the signals weak and reception poor? ¶ Connect them properly to the TUNER terminals on the amplifier. ¶ Connect the antenna properly. ¶ Even though the signal is weak, the RF ATT is on. Noise Sound distortion ¶ Is the station properly tuned in to the correct frequency? ¶ Has the antenna been disconnected or is the connection loose? ¶ Even though the signal is weak, the RF ATT is on. On the FM band ¶ The T-type FM antenna has not been extended,or it is not properly orientated. ¶ Are the signals weak and reception poor? ¶ Even though the signal is weak,the RF ATT is on. ¶ Static from other appliances (or automobiles) or multipath reflection (radio waves reflected off mountains and tall buildings,hence not received directly). On the AM band ¶ Poor positioning of the AM loop antenna. ¶ The supplied AM loop antenna is in contact with the unit. ¶ Are the signals weak and reception poor? ¶ Noise from other electrical appliances (fluorescent light/motors). FM stereo broadcasts not received in stereo ¶ Antenna input is insufficient because of weak broadcast signals. ¶ The unit is not correctly tuned to the frequency of the broadcast station. ¶ MPX MODE button is set to MONO. ¶ Preset the stations once again. ¶ Set the MPX MODE button to MONO (the broadcast will be received in monaural). ¶ Set the RF ATT to off. ¶ Tune in the station correctly. ¶ Connect the antenna properly. ¶ Set the RF ATT to off. ¶ Extend both ends fully,and face it in the direction giving the best reception. ¶ Replace the supplied T-type FM antenna with an outdoor antenna. ¶ Set the MPX MODE button to MONO (the broadcast will be received in monaural). ¶ Set the RF ATT to off. ¶ Try changing the antenna location. If you are using an outdoor antenna, move it away from the street. ¶ Change antenna direction, and set it in the position giving the best reception. ¶ Move the loop antenna away from the unit. ¶ Install and connect an external AM antenna and ground the unit. ¶ Turn off the noise-generating equipment, or move it away. ¶ Use a multi-element FM antenna. ¶ Tune in the correct frequency. ¶ Set MPX MODE button to AUTO. Abnormal functioning of this unit may be caused by static electricity, or other external interference. All rights reserved. 17 En 歡迎惠購 Pioneer 產品。 請通讀此操作說明書以便使您正確地操作本 機。閱讀完說明書之後請妥善保管,以備日後 查用。 在某些國家或地區,電源插頭和插座可能與說 明圖中所表示的稍有不同,但本機的連接和操 作方法是一樣的。 TWO VOLTAGE SERECTORS 110V 120 - 127V 240V 110 - 127V 220 - 240V 220V D3-4-2-1-5_ChH 18 Ch 目錄 特點 ......................... 檢查附件 ..................... 安裝 ......................... 連接 ......................... 19 19 20 21 天線連接 ................... 22 前面板控制 ................... 23 基本調諧操作 ................. 26 自動和手動調諧 ............. 26 直接接續調諧 ............... 27 預置電台 ..................... 28 預置電台 ................... 28 預置電台調諧 ............... 29 記憶掃描 ................... 29 手動電台名記憶 ............. 30 故障及其排除 ................. 32 規格 ......................... 33 特點 ■ RF ATT ■ 記憶掃描 內藏的減衰器(RF ATT)可打開或關閉以 便適當地接收強電台廣播信號。 ■ 任意 30 個電台預置 多達 30 個 FM(調頻)和 AM(調幅)電台 可被預置入記憶電台。 ■ 手動電台名記憶 只需使用 4 個文字,可存儲所選擇的 1 至 30 個預置的 FM/AM 電台的名字。 操作此功能時,級別(A 、 B 或 C)內的預 置電台順序地被接收。在檢查所接收的節 目同時,您可選擇需要的電台。 ■ 省電設計 本機的設計可使您在切斷電源(待機中) 時最小限度地使用電能。 有關待機方式中的功耗值請參考第 33 頁 上的“規格”一節。 檢查附件 AM環形天線 FM T型天線 音頻軟線 控制軟線 19 Ch 安裝 頻道調程設定 在第一次使用本機之前,務必正確地設定適合 於當地的頻道調程(F M 和 A M )。 如果頻道調程設定不當,就不能夠準確地調諧 頻率,從而引起失真和噪音。使接收到的信號 的再現達不到最佳的聲音質量。 FM100kHz 、 AM10kHz 設定至此位置時,適用於 F M 和 A M 的接收調 程分別為 100kHz 和 10kHz 的地區。 FM50kHz 、 AM9kHz 設定至此位置時,適用於 F M 和 A M 的接收調 程分別為 50kHz 和 9kHz 的地區。 注意: 當不能肯定當地的頻道分配時,請向您的代理 商詢問有關正確信息。 要改變頻道調程 將 F M 頻道調程設至 100kHz , A M 頻道調程設 至 10kHz : 10kHz: 電源在待機時,在按下 STATION CALL 按鈕 0/10 的同時按下 STANDBY/ON 開 關,將電源切換至 O N 。 將 FM 頻道調程設至 50kHz , AM 頻道調程設至 9kHz 。 電源在待機時,在按下 STATION CALL 按鈕 9 的同時按下STANDBY/ON開 關,將電源切換至 O N 。 放置 將調諧器安裝在通風良好的、不易受高溫、高 濕影響的地方。 不要將調諧器安裝在會受直射陽光照射、或靠 近發熱的設備或幅射器的地方。過熱會使機箱 和內部元件受不良影響。將調諧器安裝在潮濕 或污髒的環境中可能會造成故障或事故。(還 應避免安裝在烹調器等處附近,以使調諧器免 受油煙、蒸汽或高溫的影響。) 冷凝 當將本機從溫度較低的環境移置較溫暖的房 間,或房間溫度突然昇高時,機內可能會發生 冷凝,使本機不能到達其最佳性能狀態。在此 情況下,請將本機擱置大約 1 小時或逐漸昇高 房間溫度。 電源線注意事項 應手持電源線插頭。不要使勁抽拉電源線拔出 插頭,也不要用濕手觸摸電源線,因為那樣會 造成短路或觸電。不要將本機、家具等擱置在 電源線上或壓住它。不要在電源線上打結或與 其他軟線纏絞在一起。電源線應配置在不會被 踩著的地方。破損的電源線會引起火災或使您 受電擊。請仔細檢查電源線,如果發現有破 損,應請求就近的 PIONEER 授權的維修中心或 代銷商預以更換。 機箱表面的保養 20 Ch ¶ 使用拋光布或乾布擦去灰塵或髒物。 ¶ 當表面非常污髒時,可使用蘸有用水稀 釋 5 6 倍的中性清潔劑的乾布擦拭之, 然後擰乾布擦乾,最後再用一塊軟布擦 淨。不要使用家具塗蠟或洗潔劑。 ¶ 不要在本機上或在其附近使用稀釋溶 劑、汽油、殺蟲噴劑及其他化學品,因 為這類物品會腐蝕表面。 連接 在進行或改變連接之前,請切斷電源開關並將 電源線從 AC(交流)插座上拔下。 立體聲放大器 附屬 FM T 型天線 室外 F M 天線 附屬 A M 環形天線 GND INPUT PHONO CD TUNER L R 附屬音頻軟線 ANTENNA TWO VOLTAGE SERECTORS OUTPUT FM UNBAL 75Ω AM LOOP ANTENNA CONTROL IN 110V L 120 - 127V 240V R OUT 110 - 127V 220 - 240V 220V C O N T R O L (控制)終端 連接 FM T 型天線和 AM 環形天 線 將電源線插入 AC(交流)牆上插座。 管腳插頭連接軟線 15 mm ¶ 將白色插頭連接至白色終端(L) (左),紅 色插頭至紅色終端(R)(右)。 ¶ 務必牢固地連接好。 1. 剝去導線末端膠皮捻合導線。 2. 將連接器舌片向下撥動,插入環形天 線的導線。 左頻道 白色插頭 CONTROL (控制)終端 CONTROL( 當與帶有Î標記的其他 Pioneer 裝置一起使用 本機時,請使用附屬的控制軟線將調諧器後面 板上的 CONTROL IN(控制輸入)終端與其它裝 置上的 CONTROL OUT(控制輸出)終端連接起 來。這樣就可以使用其他裝置的遙控器對調諧 器進行遙控操作。 如不使用此功能,則不必進行此連接。 ¶ 有關的連接和操作說明,請參照立體聲裝 置的操作說明書。 紅色插頭 右頻道 天線接地 ANTENNA FM UNBAL 75Ω AM LOOP ANTENNA 注意: 立體聲放大器 CONTROL IN OUT F-208 C D 播放機 卡式走帶機 CONTROL IN CONTROL CONTROL OUT IN OUT IN OUT (信號接地)可以在連接天線時幫助減少噪 音,但並非安全接地端。 小心: 切不可將接地端連接至煤氣管上,因為電火花 21 會引燃煤氣。 Ch 連接 天線連接 必須正確地連接天線,否則無法接收到廣播電台。 廣播電台信號和強度隨接收地區而變化。信號 傳播在有許多高大建筑物的鬧市區以及多山地 區特別微弱。因此有必要正確地連接天線使接 收達到最佳。 A M 天線 隨附調諧器的 A M 環形天線應連接至 A M 天線 終端。天線應離開調諧器一定距離放置,並且 不要使之與金屬物踫觸。應避免靠近 CD 播放 機、微機、電視機以及其他會產生無線電波的 器件放置。 裝設 A M 環形天線 ¶ 將天線底部上的夾片插入支腳上的凹槽 ¶ 將天線放置在水平表面上,旋轉天線使之 處在最佳接收的方位。 ¶ 若要長久固定天線,應在裝設之前用螺絲 將支腳固定在牆上或柱子上(將天線朝最 佳接收方向固定)。 室外 A M 天線 如果在引線天線伸出屋外後接收效果仍然不 好,則請將一根聚氯乙稀絕緣導線伸出屋外並 固定之。 連接外接 A M 天線 室外 A M 天線 室內 A M 天線 A M 環形天線 注意: 在使用外接 AM 天線時,不要拆去 AM 環形天線。 F M 天線 FM T型天線的連接 將附屬 FM T型天線連接至 FM 終端。將天線 完全伸出,並固定在牆壁等物上,務必連接附 屬的 FM T型天線以確保接收效果。 引線 支腳 正確 錯誤 錯誤 A M 環形天線連接 必須連接附屬 AM 環形天線以確保正確接收。 室外外接天線的裝設 外部 A M 天線 室內 A M 天線 帶有一根聚氯乙稀絕緣導線(長 5 至 6 米)。 使導線一端接至標有“AM LOOP ANTENNA” (AM 環形天線)的 AM 終端,另一端接至牆上 或其他高處。 22 Ch 當電台信號微弱,而附屬T型 FM 天線不能接 收到,或者所收聽到的聲音噪聲太大時,應使 用外接天線。 75 Ω同軸線纜 前面板控制 2 34 1 5 6 78 9 MEMORY X¿ 18 En Printed in Japan
