- soft reflections 2016 I 2016 års kollektion har vi reflekterat över 1970 talets mjuka formspråk och fokuserat på att tolka den karakteristiska stilen till en känsla av idag. Designer Monika Mulder och Sabina Grubbesson har parallellt arbetat med temat ”soft reflections” under året och har tolkat temat på sitt eget personliga sätt. In the 2016 collection, we have been focused on the 1970th century. Our main goal was to translate the characteristic style to a design of today. In her eyes everything is a composition. Monika’s main interest is to develop relevant solutions for real needs, and to give grace and beauty to everyday products. Her work is playful and functional, solving challenges of production with creativity and consideration. - mobile, 2016 design: Monika Mulder Monikas designs have received awards such as Best Swedish design 2001 and Elle Decoration Best furniture of the Year 2003. And her work has been shown on exhibition world wide as well as published in designbooks. Monika was born in Woudsend. She studied at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. An intership at the designdepartment of IKEA led to a job and a succession of notable projects. In 2010 she set up her own designstudio, Grubbesondesign, where she works as an independent designer. Since the start she has designed a number of successful products for various brands. After her studies in the early 2000s, Sabina worked as a designer for a Swedish lighting company. At the start of her own studio, it was natural to design essentially lamps for various companies. Companies like Pholc, LampGustaf and Konsthantverk. Today, Sabina expanded and also designs furniture and textile. The series Abisko for Mavis Möbler is her first furniture.
