DESIGN your space RELAZZO. THE terraCe - NOTES FOR DAY TO DAY USE www.rehau.com/relazzo Construction Automotive Industry Dear customer! Thank you for choosing our product! In the following you will find important information about the care and use of RELAZZO decking planks made from the innovative RAU-WOOD material. We hope that you enjoy our product for a long time to come. SLIP RESISTANCE The RELAZZO decking system demonstrates high resistance against external environmental influences and is suitable for use by the pool and sea. Due to the non-slip class R11-R12 the brushed RELAZZO planks are approved for use in public areas. To maintain the high slip resistance any algae is to be removed regularly with a high pressure cleaner. In the case of moisture and ice (use of salt) reduced slip resistance is to be anticipated. When barefoot please bear in mind that dark-coloured surfaces may become warm in strong sunlight. COLOUR - RELAZZO decking planks satisfy for years with high colour fastness. - The natural product wood is however subject to natural colour deviations. - Samples are only a guide and are subject to colour deviations depending on the production batch. - The yellowing of the wood to begin with fades after a couple of months. HYGIENE AND CARE Cleaning with warm water and soap is sufficient in the case of conventional decking use. - In order to use and retain the properties, stains are to be removed immediately with a soft sponge and soap and the decking rinsed with warm water following cleaning. - Stubborn stains such as red wine, cola or coffee can be removed with a diluted chlorine water solution and a high pressure cleaner. - Rust spots, animal excrement and urine can be removed with an oxalic acid-based decking cleaner. - Mildew can be treated with several applications of chlorinated cleaner. The use of strong acids and organic solvents may attack the surface. Take care with fuel and firelighters! CLEANING RECOMMENDATIONS, SUMMARY Example Stubborn food residue Sugary refreshments Hot drinks Burn marks Acids Bases Colours Iron Moisture Red wine Cola Coffee Cigarettes Sulphuric acid Caustic soda Paints Rust spots Mildew Recommendation for cleaning slight Warm water Mild cleaning agent (soap) Sponge High pressure cleaner Bleaching agent (Chlorinated water) Sand paper Wire wool heavy Steel brush Soiling Cause All Diluted chlorinated water solution, high pressure cleaner Sand paper, wire wool, steel brush Oxalic acid, phosphoric acid Sodium hypochlorite (bleach water) MAINTENANCE The material RAU-WOOD cannot be destroyed by algae, mildew and fungi. Warm water with soap or chlorinated cleaner (bleach) helps to improve any deterioration in the surface. Staining due to charcoal, ash or cigarettes can be removed by sanding the surface of the damaged decking plank. It is to be ensured that sanding is carried out in the direction of the original brushing. The RELAZZO decking planks do not require any subsequent treatment with a protective coating (oil, stain) as is necessary for solid wood products to protect the wood. If due to an extraordinary occurrence a plank becomes unsightly or breaks a REHAU-accredited fabricator can replace individual planks thanks to the innovative clip system.
