The Franke Story Almost a century of craftmanship Craftsmanship and artistry are not skills that are acquired overnight – so perhaps it’s no surprise that Franke have successfully been in business for nearly a hundred years. Founded in Switzerland in 1911, we made our first sinks in 1925, since when we’ve grown to become the world’s largest manufacturer of kitchen sinks, leading the industry in design, quality and innovation – as well as pioneering research and development into new materials and products for the kitchen.

Coordinating Designer Packs This brochure contains our impressive ‘Specialist’ range of sinks, which are offered as part of a Designer Pack – a competitively priced product collection comprising: 1. Sink, plus 2. a tap which we recommend, based on its style and suitability for the particular sink. However, if you’d prefer a different tap, you’re free to choose from our wide range of taps (see Want to upgrade your taps? below). 3. a number of accessories exist, usually flushfitting and coordinated, such as chopping boards and drainers – but you’re welcome to add more from our extensive range. Simply check the brochure or ask your Franke retailer for further details about availability. Want to upgrade your taps? It’s your choice! Whilst our Designer Packs come with a recommended coordinated tap to match the sink, you can upgrade to the tap of your choice from those featured on pages 42 to 43 in this brochure. Additionally, you may wish to look at our separate tap brochure entitled Franke Taps and Franke Triflow Range (Triflow taps feature a third handle which dispenses filtered drinking water). Please note that not all taps fit all sinks, so you’ll need to select a tap which is compatible with the sink you’ve chosen. Good-looking, long-lasting and hard-wearing Stainless steel sinks from Franke are made from premium quality 18/10 chrome nickel steel, which looks beautiful, is resistant to staining, rust and corrosion – and is simplicity itself to keep clean. It won’t chip, craze, flake or break either – plus it’s the perfect material for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Ceramic sinks (many in traditional designs) are made from kiln-fired porcelain which has a tough, smooth gloss finish which stands up to even the harshest treatment. Fragranite is a unique material pioneered by Franke, which contains 80% granite – one of nature’s hardest materials. With the performance characteristics of stainless steel, Fragranite resists burns, dents chips and stains – in fact it’s the toughest synthetic sink available, and it comes in a wide range of shades, offering unique opportunities for colour combinations in the kitchen. Steel, Ceramic and Fragranite – in a choice of finishes Stainless steel – smooth, subtle and exquisite in every detail, our stainless steel sinks are available in a number of finishes, including brushed, silk, linen and ‘Microdekor’, a warm, subtle surface which is delightful to touch and beautiful to look at. Fragranite contains particles of natural granite, so it’s naturally textured, warm to the touch and with a subtle sheen – plus it comes in two different finishes, standard Fragranite and SilkSheen providing a silkier finish, as well as a stunning range of shades, with matching accessories! Ceramic Franke sinks have a fingertip-smooth high-gloss finish designed to look perfectly pristine – even after years of loyal and hard-working service. 5
Undermount range If you like sleek, ultra-cool stylish looks in your kitchen, you’ll love our undermounted sinks, which look particularly handsome when combined with solid granite, wood and marble worktops. As its name implies, an undermounted sink is fitted beneath the worktop, which has a hole cut to match the sink beneath. This ensures that the surface area of the worktop remains smooth and uninterrupted, without the sink edge rising above the level of the work surface. Franke MD undermounted sinks are available in single and double configurations, in a wide range of shapes; they’re also available as Designer Packs – value-for-money packages containing sink, a tap we recommend, plus a number of matching accessories. As with regular Designer Packs, you can upgrade your tap and add other accessories from our range.

Undermounted Installation Guide A template and fixing clips are provided in the box. Some circumstances may allow for fitting a bowl directly to the worktop. Alternatively a plywood template can be made to the size of the sink, which will effectively ‘sandwich’ the sink flange, when addressed to the underside of the material. (Refer to diagrams opposite). We would recommend the use of a sealant between the flange of the sink and the worktop to avoid any water ingress. In all cases you are advised to consult your supplier.

Colours shown are for reference only. Franke sinks are guaranteed for 25 years against manufacturing defect. Franke taps are guaranteed against defective materials and workmanship for 1 year in relation to coatings and finishes, and 5 years in relation to moving parts. Franke will replace (and where appropriate repair) defective sinks. In relation to taps, Franke will, where appropriate, provide replacement parts for your taps or replace your taps. Any associated or ancillary costs to be incurred by you as a result of replacement of Franke sinks and taps under this guarantee shall in all cases be previously approved by Franke UK Limited. This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights.
Prices shown are UK mainland prices effective from 1st April 2005 and include VAT at the current rate of 17.5%. This literature has been produced on chlorine free materials harvested from sustainable forests.
