The Logical Solution - Save Space and Improve Efficiency The Velocitykvm line of extenders continues to evolve and add value with exciting new features. The new Velocitykvm Desktop chassis is a convenient, rack space saving solution. What was typically housed in a 1U chassis is now scaled down to a small desktop chassis size, with easy to install interface module options. These modules support a variety of video display options, such as RGB, single-link DVI, two single-link DVI displays, or one dual-link DVI display. In addition, all modules support PS2, full duplex stereo audio, stereo emitter, and serial (RS-232). Depending on your requirements, module model options feature either USB 1.0 HID (only), and/or USB 2.0 (up to 480 Mbps) device ports. Using multi-mode or single-mode fiber, the system allows users to locate a DVI monitor and peripherals via fiber from just a few meters up to 40 kilometers away from the controlling computer securely without the loss of resolution. Powered by Thinklogical’s cutting edge, patent-pending MRTS (Multi Rate Transmission System) technology, the module transports every frame of a DVI video stream seamlessly, with no compression, or dropped frames. In addition, all high speed peripherals function with no latency making it ideally suited for a wide range of applications in the broadcast and post-production field, as well as command and control centers, universities, air traffic control, energy production and exploration, and any other commercial KVM applications.

Smaller Size - Same Unparalleled Performance The Velocitykvm Desktop series is Thinklogical’s newest fiber based KVM extension solution. It allows users to back rack and centralize critical computing resources and securely allocate them as needed. This makes it an ideal solution for improving workflow dynamics by leveraging content and equipment access. What sets the Velocitykvm Desktop apart is its capacity to extend uncompressed video signals (DVI and RGB). Therefore, it delivers the highest video quality, pixel for pixel, with absolutely no dropped frames. In addition, it supports all desktop peripheral signals (keyboard, mouse, USB 2.0 and/or 1.0, PS2, serial RS-232), and analog stereo audio ) real-time, with no latency, over distances up to 40 kilometers (24 miles). The product has a simple transmitter/receiver design which allows for ease of installation and straight forward deployment. Depending on the user's infrastructure, the transmitter and the receiver can be connected by multi-mode or single mode fiber optic cable. The series has been designed specifically for all desktop requirements. The product’s fans emit virtually no detectable sound, this feature is critical when the product is deployed in infrastructures such as broadcast, post-production and air traffic control. Unlike larger traditional KVM extenders, which take up valuable desktop real estate, the Velocitykvm Desktop is designed as a small form factor component. This extremely compact component takes up very little space on the desk and it can be conveniently mounted below the desktop, out of the way. For a complete routing and extension system, the Velocitykvm Desktop offers unprecedented integration with Thinklogical’s entire line of Velocitykvm (stand alone and modular) extenders and the VX Router family of products.

Leveraging standard SFP+ transceivers, the system allows for the usage of either multi-mode or single-mode fiber optic cable. The Velocitykvm Desktop design requires two to three fibers (depending on the interface module), with one or two fibers dedicated to the video and data and one dedicated to the back channel for the USB and DDC. The DDC (Display Data Channel) or EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) information is provided to the CPU by either a generic table stored inside the transmitter, or the displays table via an active link between the receiver and transmitter. The Velocitykvm Desktop offers best-in-class fiber optic performance with advanced peripheral and interface capability. The entire line of Velocitykvm T-Series modules offer the following model options: USB 2.0, PS2, Serial (RS-232), Stereo Emitter, and Analog Stereo Audio (bi-directional) Complete support for USB high speed (2.0) devices (along with USB 1.1 support), ideal for use with DVD drives, CDROM, Memory Stick, and other high speed storage and desktop peripherals. Supports 480Mb/second transfer rates. USB 1.0 (HID ONLY), PS2, Serial (RS-232), Stereo Emitter, and Analog Stereo Audio (bi-directional) Designed for security conscious customers. No physical support for USB thumb drives or other full speed devices. Supports human interface devices only, such as keyboard, mouse, and tablets. Provides PS2/USB conversion.
