This Certificate is subject to terms and conditions overleaf. Any significant change in design or construction may render this Certificate invalid. The validity date relates to the Type Approval Certificate and not to the approval of equipment/systems installed. If any person suffers loss or damage which is proved to have been caused by any negligent act or omission of Det Norske Veritas, then Det Norske Veritas shall pay compensation to such person for his proved direct loss or damage. However, the compensation shall not exceed an amount equal to ten times the fee charged for the service in question, provided that the maximum compensation shall never exceed USD 2 million. In this provision "Det Norske Veritas" shall mean the Foundation Det Norske Veritas as well as all its subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents and any other acting on behalf of Det Norske Veritas.

Application/Limitation Application: The system can be used as: Automatic telephone system, Public Address system (combined vith SPA V-2 system with the same application and limitations as spesified in the type approval of that system), General Alarm system (combined vith SPA V-2 system with the same application and limitations as spesified in the type approval of that system), Talk Back system as handsfree two-way voice communicaiotn system as required by DNV Nautical safety rules. Limitations: 1- When used as combined PA/GA system together with SPA-V2, two independent loops are needed in all public areas. The ACM intercom units can provide PA/GA coverage for one of the loops. 2- When used as Public Address system onboard passenger vessels, the SPA system shall be duplicated. 3- Network / network equipment/VLAN solution shall be in accordance with Zentiel’s specifications in “Data Network Guideline for Ships – VINGTOR ACM Solution, Docno A100K10649”. When such subsystems/components are not included in Zenitel’s delivery, Zenitel shall evaluate these subsystems/components towards above mentioned specification and include the relevant documents in the system document package delivered for each installation. 4- Network /network equipment/ VLAN solution shall be in compliance with DNV SfC 2.4 or IEC60945. 5- Local muting of the loudspeakers near call stations shall be available. 6- Wireless and DECT are not covered by type approval. As optional functionalities any subunits used for Wireless and DECT communication near bridge shall comply with IEC60945.

Marking of product The system shall be marked with: Manufacturer’s name: Zenitel Norway AS, Type designations: ACM plus the variant spesification accoding to product spesification, (when used as PA/GA system the variant designation for the SPA-V2 system shall be also marked on the SPA system). Certificate Retention Survey A retention survey shall be carried out every second year, and one of the retention surveys shall be at renewal of this certificate. The scope of the retention/renewal survey is to verify that the production quality conditions stipulated for the type approval are complied with and that no alterations are made to the product design or its components and/or materials without appraisal by the Society.
