Correlation means “agreement”. The correlator (1) calculates the distance between the leakage point (2) and a measurement point (3 + 4) from the different travel times of the leakage noise at two measurement points and displays it graphically and in meters.
inline housings (3+4) receive these vibrations at different times – depending on the distance from the leakage point – and transmit these to the radio transmitter (5 +6). At this point the vibrations are converted into electrical signals. They are then amplified and transmitted via radio (7+8) to the correlator.
