Intelligent video surveillance The ZS-MD4-2 motion detector excels with its powerful filter functions: it automatically distinguishes between movements with surveillance implications and harmless factors caused by the weather, such as rainfall or wind objects moved by the wind. Moreover, it takes into account differences in size in terms of perspective in order to correctly evaluate movements at a distance. To this end the user merely defines two object sizes in the foreground and background. The ZS-MD4-2 achieves an extremely high level of triggering reliability and is therefore particularly suitable for the surveillance of outdoor facilities, buildings and driveways.
Convenient in the event of alarm With 1,024 sensor cells, four sensitive zones can be defined for each camera location. They form the basis for definable, logical links to the alarm inputs and the real-time clock. As a result of the serial command sequences per channel and the powerful automatic features of the ZS-MD4-2, the monitoring staff can counteract any possible risk promptly. In the event of motion alarms the motion detector automatically activates moving camera units. With this tracking function a suspicious object can be kept under continuous observation even if it passes several camera locations.

Digital motion detector ZS-MD4-2 Separate warning of sabotage The ZS-MD4-2 recognises any attempt at sabotage from the sudden change in the overall video picture. Sabotage warnings and alarms can be transmitted using freely programmable RS232/RS485 interfaces and one relay contact per channel. Alarm indicators, for example, can be connected to the relay outputs.
Operation from a PC The user-friendly software provided permits the motion detector to be configured from a PC or laptop. Here the user can, if required, also store specific settings and protect them with a password. The settings of configured units can also be transmitted to other ZS-MD4-2s.
Always the right time The battery-buffered real-time clock of the motion detector always guarantees the correct execution of the settings. In this way the ZS-MD4-2 can be automatically switched over from day to night modes with the appropriate setting. The user can set the integrated timer with automatic summer and winter time changeover to any time zone required. This means the motion detector can also be used anywhere in the world.
