Be sure to read the user manual before starting the operation of the receiver. Do not open the housing. The receiver contains high-voltage components and parts. Even after switching off the receiver still contains high-voltage for a while. Do not expose to rain or moisture. Do not make objects or fluid enter the housing through the ventilation slot. If any spilt liquid went into to the housing, unplug the power cord and call your local Service provider. Do not place close to any heat source. Do not press with hard or heavy object. 2.1 Front Panel Turn the power on/off. MENU Shows the menu application. OK Select menu or value on menu item. VOL◀▶ Control volume, change item on menu or input frequency value. CH▼▲ Change channel, move menu, or input frequency value.

IP Connection Network interface LNB IN It receives signals from the LNB in the range of 950 ~ 2150MHz. Connect a satellite dish to DIGITAL SATELLITE RECEIVER. LOOP It sends signal to another receiver. AUDIO (R,L) It provides stereo audio output. Connect the audio on TV to AUDIO with RCA cable. VIDEO It provides composite video output. Connect the Video on TV to VIDEO with RCA cable. SPDIF Output for connection to a digital amplifier. RF IN The signal supplied to this connector from a TV antenna will be sent to TV antenna output. Connect a TV antenna to TV ANT IN. RF OUT It provides a modulated audio and video from the receiver. Connect the TV/VCR on TV to TV/VCR with the RF cable. VCR It provides composite video and audio outputs. Connect the VCR scart on VCR(or Decoder) to VCR with scart cable. TV It provides RGB video and Composite video. Connect the TV scart on TV to TV. RS-232C DATA It receives data by connecting to PC for software upgrading. Connect with RS-232C cable a PC and receiver. ON / OFF The switch is to turn on or off the main power of the receiver mechanically. 4

2.3 Remote Control Unit Open the controller cover on the back and insert two batteries (AAA - 1.5V). MUTE Deactivate current sound. POWER Turn the power on/off. Numeric(0~9) Change channel or input frequency value. CLEAR Clear wrong number input or delete channel from TV (Radio) list or favorite channel list. TV/SAT Select between TV Channels and Satellite channels for RF output. MENU Shows the menu application. EXIT Exit from the menu. GUIDE Shows EPG [ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE] FAV Add TV or Radio channel to the favorite list on Edit TV(Radio) Channels, or watch favorite channel from your favorite list. Channel ▲ ▼ Change channel, move menu, or input frequency value. Volume ◀ ▶ Control volume, change item on menu or input frequency value. OK / LIST Shows channel list, Select menu or value on menu item. RECALL It is to move to previous channel. 5
Remote Control Unit Page UP/DOWN Move to previous/next page on TV(Radio), Favorite Channels or Edit TV(Radio) Channels. INFO Shows the information of current channel. Click the INFO button twice, EPG mode will be displayed. When pressed in channel list channels will be sorted in alphabetical order A-Z AUDIO Select Stereo, Main or Sub from multi language channels available. LANG Select the audio language from 2 or more audio language channels available. TEXT Change to Teletext mode. TV Change to TV mode from radio channel. RADIO It is for fast change to radio mode from TV channel. Shows the current Radio program list. SIZE Select between standard 4:3 and wide 16:9 screen sizes. RECENT If you hope to show channel list which you watched TV channel list recently, you have to use this function and may show channel list easily.

Connections
3.1 Connecting to the TV, VCR and Satellite Antenna It is not necessary to adjust power, as the product is of free - voltage (AC 110~220V ) 1. Connect another scart cable from the TV on the satellite receiver to scart socket on the TV. 2. Connect the RF cable from the TV OUT on the satellite receiver to a TV. Connect an antenna to the LNB socket on the VCR or other receiver and the RF modulate on the VCR and the TV ANT.IN. 3. Connect a cable of the satellite dish to the DIGITAL on the satellite receiver

3.2 Connecting DiSEqC switch If you have one antenna equipped with many LNBs or two antennas with one LNB on each, you need a DiSEqC switch. 1. Connect the LNBs to a DiSEqC switch at first. 2. Connect the antenna cable to the OUT connector on the DiSEqC switch and connect the end of the cable to the DIGITAL on the satellite receiver.

3.3 Connecting to the TV, HiFi system 1. Connect the RCA cable from the VIDEO INPUT on the TV to the VIDEO on the satellite receiver. 2. Connect a RCA stereo cable from the AUDIO RL on the satellite receiver to the AUDIO RL on the HiFi system.
3.4 Connecting Smart Card module (Optional)
To get service of Xcrypt encrypted programs, subscribe a Xcrypt Smart card from program provider. Insert Xcrypt smart card into slot for watching encrypted TV programs. NOTE Insert smart card into a smart card slot with facing IC upwards

4.1 Installations If it is the first time using a receiver, you should set parameters for system configuration. Refer to the following section. 1. Turn on your TV and Satellite receiver. 2. Press the MENU button, main menu screen will appear as shown below.
1. Select Installation on the Main Menu. To enter “Installation” password is required. The default password is “0000”.

3. Select “LNB Power” . If LNB Power is independently supplied from outside source, set the LNB Power OFF. Otherwise set it ON. If DiSEqC 1.2 selects ON, you can set DiSEqC for slectected Satellite.

Settings And Operations 4. Select correct name of Satellite. If there is no proper satellite name listed, select one from any of USER1 ~ USER 20.
5. If you want to change the LNB type go to LNB TYPE and use ◄/► buttons to select the LNB Frequency

Installations 6. If only one antenna is in use, set DiSEqC mode to disable. If more than 1 antenna According to the option and position of DiSEqC switch, select mini A, Mini B, DiSEqC 1 ~ DiSEqC 4. If the option AUTO is selected the receiver will select the correct position automatically.
7. If you have a DiSEqC 1.2 motorized system to control your satellite antenna you have to select ON on DiSEqC 1.2 If DiSEaC1.2 sets ON, DiSEqC1.2 Settings menu will be active and you can set it up.

Settings And Operations 8. If you are not using external LNB switch set 0/12V to disable If you are using external LNB switch you can control it by selecting either 0V or 12V
9. Select Search Channels on the Antenna Setting; press OK, all the available Channels will be searched automatically.
1. Select manual search of the installation 2. Select correct name of Satellite. If there is no proper satellite name listed in the item, select one from any of USER1 ~ USER 20.

3. Move to desired TP with CH ▲▼ on the RCU. If there are no transponder data which you want, move to Add New TP and press OK button. 4. Select the desired satellite. And input correct values of Frequency, Polarization and Symbol Rate. Select the Polarization value as Hor of Ver. If you did not know accurate polarization value, select “Auto” in the “Polarization”.
Once all the parameters are entered, Press “OK” on “Search channels” button to scan programs on the TP. If no any channels get scanned manually select the option advanced search Input proper Channel name and input the values of Video PID, Audio PID and PCR PID. Then, press OK button from the Add item.

Encrypted or Scrambled channel is marked as “$” sign at the beginning of the channel name. After successful completion of channel searching, move to TV channels or radio channels on MAIN MENU to select currently received channels. NOTE
Depending on certain TP or satellite, the Network Search function may not work.
Multi Sat. Search To use the Multi Sat. Search function, Move: MAIN menu -> Installation -> Channel Search -> Multi Sat. Search Press OK button on “Select Sat.” mode. Press OK to choose the desired satellite Press the RED button present in the RCU to scan the selected satellites.

[ Network Search ] Network search function is enable to search new TPs and all channels in all TPs. * How to go” Network Search” menu : Main menu -> Installation --> Channel Search --> Select Search Channels -> Choose “Network Search” mode in the “Search Channels”.
If you have a DiSEqC 1.2 motorized system to control your satellite antenna you have to make the following setting. First, you must select ON on DiSEqC 1.2 of LNB Setting in the Setting. < ☞ Please refer to the Setting section > 1. Move Antenna Settings menu. Select DiSEqC 1.2 Limit Settings of the Antenna Setting

4.2 Viewing TV(or Radio) 1. Press the Power button. 2. Press the TV(or Radio) button. 3. If you want to see all TV channel list, click the “OK” button and then select the TV Channel(or Radio Channel). TV Channel (or Radio Channel) window will appear.
Press [◀] button on RCU, you will see current Satellite name box. Select any satellite in the satellite name box, only the TV list of selected satellite will be displayed.
1. Press FAV key. 2. Select a CH ▲ ▼. To move to next or previous page, press PAGE UP/DOWN buttons on Favorite TV(or Radio) List. Edit TV Channels / Edit Radio Channels From these menus you can see in the “installation” menu. Press OK button from Edit TV List in the “installation” menu and similar screen will be shown as below. 19
Viewing TV(or Radio)
Arrange channel To change the channel orders from TV List, press OK button from your desired channel. Then you should move to the desired number by pressing CH ▲ ▼, after then press OK button. Its orders will be changed. Delete channel Press CLEAR button twice on the channel list for deletion. Create favorite channel Press FAV button on t your favorite channel, the channel will be moved to Favorite List box.

Settings And Operations Sort Select SORT button in the “Edit TV List” screen. You can select the order you want.
Lock Channel Press F.BK button on the lock channel to prevent unauthorized access to these channels.

Viewing TV(or Radio) Edit Channel Name Press OK button from Edit TV List or Edit Radio List in the “installation” menu. 1. Press INFO button on Edit TV or Edit Radio List.

Settings And Operations 3. To change character set (small letter, number), press INFO button. To save the channel name, press MENU button.
To change the name of satellites, go to the “installation” on MAIN menu. Select “Channel Search”, press INFO button.

Viewing TV(or Radio) Delete channel by SAT Delete all channel of applicable satellite by satellite name.
Parental Control You can protect your installed data and information by locking the menu. Channel lock allows you to lock the channel with the password in order to prevent from accessing of the channel by your children or some unauthorized person. Default password is 0000. This can be changes here.

4.3 Other Functions Audio Selection If broadcasting channel is supporting multi language, different language can be selected from Audio Selection. 1. To select different language on current channel, press LANG button on RCU. 2. Press OK button on your favorite language. According to different audio data on each channel, different audio language types can be selected.
TV Guide Press GUIDE button of RCU for channel information. This function works in digital mode only.

Other Functions Teletext function Pressing the TEXT button will open a Teletext page. Select teletext pages with the numeric buttons on the RCU.

[ Screen Division Function ] You can check other channels (still picture mode) while you are watching a specific alive channel with this function. 1. In the full screen mode, press "F5” key in the Remote Control then you will get 4 divided pictures. 2. By pressing "VOL ◀ ▶" key, you can select a frame one by one. Selected frame will provide you a live picture. 3. By pressing ”CH ▲ ▼ “ key, you can change the channel in the selected frame. 4. Press “Exit” key, then the function goes to the full screen mode. 5. If you press “OSD” key one more time in the No.1 stage above, you will have 13 divided pictures and operations are same as above.

4.4 System Settings From these menus you can select “System Setting” on the Main Menu.
Language Setting Use < > keys to select the desired language.
Audio language Only if a current channel contains 2 or more audio language information, set the Audio Language as English or other favorite language. Menu Language For menu language selection, select desired language from Menu Language of system Settings. Subtitle Mode Subtitle is a printed version of the dialogue, narration, and/or sound effects of a TV program. Subtitle will appear at either the top or bottom of the screen during. 28
Settings And Operations Subtitle Language Please select the primary and secondary languages in your area. * From these menus you can select System Setting on the Main Menu. TV Standard Except for a few, most countries are using PAL system for TV signal, accordingly set TV. Standard as PAL. To be more flexible for NTSC or PAL signal from different satellites, select MULTI for automatic signal conversion. Time Adjustment To set the receiver time for EPG (Electronic Program Guide), set the time according to GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) by using CH ◀▶. If EPG in England is needed to set, adjust as 00:00. In the case of Beijing, adjust as 08:00. If you want to set the time manually select the option GMT OFF and set the time in TIME SETTINGS option. Time Settings Here you can set the time manually. Before the time is set manually remember to set the time adjustment to GMT OFF. Clock : set the local time. Sleep Timer : set 10 ~ 240 minutes On Timer : set the timer and the channel. Off Timer : set the timer and the channel. Time Adjustment To set the receiver time for EPG(Electronic Program Guide), set the time according to GMT(Greenwich Mean Time) by using CH ◀▶. If EPG in England is needed to set, adjust as 00:00. In the case of Beijing, adjust as 08:00. Time Settings Clock : set the your local time. Settings And Operations RF mode If the satellite receiver is connected to the TV with a RF cable, you have to set the RF mode, which is dependent on the country where the satellite is being used. Remove this sentence.
1. Select the accurate RF System type of country the satellite receiver is used. 2. Select the Channel No (Select a channel of RF output of TV set that you are using). 3. Select TV or SAT on the RF out. S/W Version Select S/W Version. Copy Mode You can choose Copy All, Copy Program, Copy Channel, Copy Key or Copy BGI modes. Factory Default You can choose All Information, Setting values or Searched Channels modes.

4.5 Recent Setting Recent List Setting If you hope to show channel list which you watched TV channel list recently, you have to use this function and may show channel list easily. Press Main Menu and select System Settings

If you choose OFF and press recent key, you couldn’t show recent list and add channel list. However, it is memorized channel list(disappear) before OFF setting

Automatic S/W update via Internet Function of Recent List 1. If you watch TV/Radio channel over 5minutes, automatically added Recently list. The latest watching channel is located in high rank. If you watch TV channel in Recent List over 5 minutes, it is changed a high rank in Recent List automatically.
2. In Recent List, you can move curser and select channel. If you press Ok button, you can watch the selected channel. 3. Button Clear Key : Delete selected channel in Recent List. 4. Button Red Key(F1 key): Delete all channel in Recent List. Favorite Hot key If you press Green Key(F2 key) when you are watching TV, selected channel is added Favorite Group as below. You can select Favorite Group to save.
Previously you added favorite channel list, you can show the message “This channel exist Favorite 1” 34

4.6 Automatic S/W update via Internet Software download and IP Settting. (your receiver should be connected with Internet cable)

During booting, it will check updated software version on the server, and notice w hether it needs to update or not.

Network Information DHCP : receive IP address automatically. STATIC setting : setting fixed IP address use or not. Input IP address, Gateway and Subnet Mask by RCU.
S/W Upgrade S/W Version Check – Turn On/Off of automatic updated software check while boot-up. Start Download – Update the latest software.

5.3 Glossary LNB Low Noise Block converter. The LNB is an electronic unit mounted on satellite dish to receive signals reflected by the dish and convert to signals. L.O. frequency Local Oscillator frequency as a part of LNB. It converts the satellite frequency to usable signals for the receiver. Polarization Polarization allows several programs to be fitted into same frequency band. Symbol Rate Size of the digital package transmission Parental Control The function is to allow parents to lock channels for unsuitable viewers. A locked program can only be unlocked with the password. DVB Digital Video Broadcast.
